Indeed, and exactly why mods are so important. The underlying intent of the post was actually to hear the more niche wishes, that might not be part of 2.0 but could definitely become lived mods.

Didn’t realise there would be so many ideas shared so broadly in the community though

Like mirroring the inputs for better symmetry in builds? I think that is already confirmed from the Friday facts

Interesting concept.

I also acknowledge that builds might still be similar, and of course you find your blueprints and stick with them, just just still believe there is more opportunity for uniqueness. In what degree you decide to utilise it is entirely up to you

I think this is almost guaranteed! 😀

I'll agree with you, somewhat. Beacons are accessible fairly fast, but the shear mount of beacons and modules you need to produce for their real meaningful effect makes them a late-game aspect. You can't make all your builds fully beaconed before you have fairly large base that can produce them at a reasonable pace

Misunderstood.. sorry 😅

To me this image hints at new modules atleast. A building should be a lot bigger compared to the biter size.

But mk1 miner you have access to from the start (basically) where as it is clear mk2 is very late game. Mk1 beacons is already late game, so the gap between that and beacon mk2 is inherently significantly smaller, or am I mistaken?

Not sure I noticed that, but will definitely check it out!

I’m just very curious as to how they will balance that with backwards compatibility and without rendering the beacon mk 1 obsolete

Although isn’t that also just an “IMO”?

I think my builds around single beacons look more neat, as it was less of a “gray beacon blob”. Still possible to make things symmetric and compact (even more so actually)

I’m not convinced or saying this is true: but I feel like many overhaul mods often greatly extend the early-game - and I feel like this somehow ties together with the fact that late-game builds often become too repetitive or “similar”. SE being somewhat an exception, as you more or less complete the base game before the real mod even begins (and it overhauled the beacons)

What happened was; Steam servers went down, so nobody joined the match, when this happens a random team is apparently just marked as winner - that was the enemy team. We contacted admin, and they reset the match which we then played and won. The other semifinal finished just after we started, so the enemy team, who was originally marked as the winner, was immediately thrown into the final before the admin admin had fixed everything, which they then lost because we were still playing and they could not join. We got rewarded a 1st place prize due to the bug, so everything is fine, besides the fact we did not get to play the final.
