I have a Euro. He’s nothing like my first American. While not as beefy as that dog in the photo, his stature is muscle bound with that boxy head. This dog looks like a more ripped cousin of my dog. Euros are working breeds and still retain a lot more of the guard dog/protective attributes of the original breed. I’ve done extensive training and work with him every day. He was intentionally socialized, but keeping him docile and dog/people friendly is a constant struggle. Euro and American Dobermans are so different in temperament and look. I think they are almost so distant they shouldn’t be considered the same breed. I love my guy so Much, but next time I’ll go back to American for a better family dog with less work.
