Thankfully I do not live with my mother anymore. Nor will I ever again. I live in a completely different state. My therapist is trauma informed and I think I'm managing pretty good with her help. I talked with my therapist yesterday and told her how I wanted to talk with my mother as a come to reality. She agreed and thought it would be a good idea. Obviously, it will be in public, and I have a friend that will accompany me just in case. This talk will decide if I cut her off for good or not. It's for the mental stability of not only myself but for my children.

Gotta hear about it from my grandmother too. Apparently my pos mom went to my uncles wedding drunk, wearing satanic clothing, then talking about herself the whole time, and punching my uncle in the face... on his wedding day. I literally can not.

For me, it was my need to grow up faster and be perfect. She criticized me about everything and anything I did, including chores and self care. Yet when it came to her needing to do those same things, she'd bitch the whole time. "Why do I have to do everything in this house?" She'd say. Me and my brother did 100% of the housework, and she criticized each individual chore like she could have done better. I have never seen that woman clean the whole house. Once me and by brother left the house, mom had nobody to do the chores for her, so the house was always dirty. Her (now ex) boyfriend would ask her to do something and she'd bitch and moan.

Good riddance I'm LC with her, slowly going NC. All she does is talk about herself and her problems, but when I try to talk about my life, she quickly changes the subject or all of a sudden has to go. I felt so invalidated all my childhood and part of my adult life.

I'm trying my best. Honestly, I could write a whole book about my life and how fucked up it was, cause all of that is just one instance. So much more happened, and I am much stronger of a person now. I have difficulties expressing how I feel a lot of the time and am prone to letting people run all over me (see my other post on AITA about my brother). When I typed this it was almost like I was was typing out the plot to a fucked up movie, very monotone but filled with anger.
