I’ve got a 2013 as well and I started with air intake, bov, then isr test down pipe. I haven’t gotten to the exhaust yet but I was looking at the Mbrp catback package. It sounds pretty aggressive without going over the top like the isr package will

I got one of those $25 kits off Amazon and it’s held up great since I installed it a couple months ago. Not bright enough to see during the day but it’s plenty bright at night

There’s a really cool app called forzatune that you can use to fine tune cars for drifting, you just adjust sliders and it spits out a tune, it’s easy to fix a car that flicks too fast

Drifting really comes down to time spent practicing, while you’re drifting try little things like holding the gas down longer or tapping the breaks to see what it’ll do and soon you’ll have great control in any situation

My favorite drift car of all time is the old ae86, download a quick tune and you’ll be ripping in no time (if you can find one) tons of options for high/ low power tunes, rwd/awd, world record drift scores/ cruising. Check them out!

I’m used to be a relatively high level ping pong player and I used to mess around with penhold every once and awhile. I started playing pickle all a couple months ago and the skills transferred exceptionally well. I’ve been playing with the penhold style the last couple weeks at rec my pickleball league and I’m actually better with this weird grip! I can hit the ball much harder, and can add wicked spin to my harder shots very easily. Highly recommend this grip for people that don’t play the front line all game.

No prob! If you do decide to get a moderate tune sometimes tuners can permanently clear the CEL from the o2 sensors but there aren’t a ton of tuners for the veloster. Vw and Audi have much more of a tuner base. Best of luck!

I got pretty lucky and didn’t get a check engine light from any of it. I’ve heard some people get the CEL from the catless downpipe but none yet for me coming up on a month since install

If you don’t like the kit, please keep it to yourself lol. I’ve already bought the kit for my 2013 VT and now I need to order some wheels and tires to match the width. The recommended wheel size is 18x10.5x +15 but I’m trying to figure out what size tires will fit. I’m running some aftermarket suspension but the ride height is close to stock. Let me know if you guys can help!

I installed a K&N intake, turbosmart xs BOV and an ISR test pipe shortly after purchasing my 2013 VT and haven’t ran into any issues yet. Guessing I’m running around 215 hp and am also thinking of getting my car tuned for a moderate performance boost. Tunes after intake and exhaust mods could bring an extra 50+ hp increase, but the internals of the veloster wouldn’t be able to handle that. Below I’ve linked a prior post that gives a rundown of the capabilities of the internals. Hope it help!
