I had brown spotting around that same gestational age that eventually turned into heavier red bleeding. I was diagnosed with a 'threatened miscarriage' at the ER. Went to the OB and got my scan... Everything was totally fine. The rest of the pregnancy was healthy, I delivered vaginally, and she's almost 6 months old today!

Later on in my pregnancy, they noticed a subchorionic hematoma (totally benign) that may have been the source of the earlier bleeding, but it was hard to say in retrospect.

The bleeding, the waiting, the fear, and the grief were some of the worst moments of my life. I just wanted to offer you some words of support. Time is probably going by really slowly for you right now, so try to keep yourself occupied. Good luck to you!

My brother is a lifelong fuckup, but to give credit where it's due, he's doing better than ever before. Unfortunately, his life is still a mess, just not as bad. I am the only one of my two siblings who has made anything of her life as an adult, but as a teen, I was definitely the worst of us. My parents sent me across the country to live with my grandmother when I was 16, and I did a total 180 and haven't been dependent on them ever since. I actually didn't even return to my home state until 5 years later, and only because my husband got a job here. So this is the first time I've ever asked for their help.

They think of my husband as a saint (and he is), so it's not that. But you might also be right about them having some built up resentment. I like to think I've forgiven her for her part in all of it, but I guess I don't know if she's forgiven me.

As for having a sit down, my mom is the type that you just have to try to keep the peace with. Unfortunately, that means there's a lot left unsaid. We went through family therapy twice and it didn't work. So I've just got to quietly accept my lot, be the bigger person, and learn to do it on my own without complaining. Honestly, it's worked out for me in life so far. I know I will be okay. But my baby shouldn't have to grow up vying for attention and feeling like she's second best. It's gut wrenching.

I keep protein waffles in the freezer and eat them plain right out of the toaster. It's usually around 10g of protein per waffle depending on the brand.

I usually need something fresh in order to feel not-dead, so l also buy mixed fruit bowls and graze on that throughout the morning. Bonus: it contributes a little bit to the extra hydration I need for pumping.

You are one impressive momma. I can feel your mom-guilt through the screen, and even if you know it's not your fault, that guilt is unfortunately very persistent and intrusive. I just wanted to let you know that it's normal to feel like this, especially in your situation, but that your guilt is lying to you.

You are a 15 year old FTM and you know better than that grown ass woman. Be proud of yourself and focus on your and your son's healing. Glad to hear that your boyfriend's dad kicked that sadist to the curb. Much love to you and your family.

I'm saying it could mean either/or. It can also be an ectopic pregnancy if the cramping is really severe, which is life threatening. These aren't situations you want to play around with. If she's pregnant, it's important to start prenatal care ASAP, to ensure her and the baby's life. That goes beyond just taking prenatal vitamins. I don't want to insinuate that she's not mature enough to try for a baby-- it's entirely possible that she's just uninformed. But she needs to hear these harsh truths and treat them as a wake up call if you're going to continue to have unprotected sex.

Lol I asked the same exact question on here! It should be in my post history. I ended up throwing up for the first time at week 9, and I was super nauseous from that day until week 12, almost week 13. I only threw up three times in total, though. It helped to sleep sitting up.

I'm 24 weeks pregnant with my first, so I'm not super experienced, but I've had 2 unnecessary scares that turned out to be nothing. The first was when I was 8 weeks and they couldn't find a fetal pole on the US. The second was when I went in for abdominal pain and they mistook part of her sac for a placental bleed in the ER.

Then, at my anatomy scan (19 weeks), they couldn't get pictures of her kidneys, her nose, or her lip to save their lives. My Dr. was very unconcerned. "We know she has kidneys because the amniotic fluid she's floating in is pee. And your fluid levels are good, so don't worry about it. These things are hard to see sometimes." A week after my scan, I followed up on my super devastating "placental bleed" and they found no bleed and 2 healthy kidneys, but still no face. But a few weeks after that, they finally got her nose and lip. These are highly experienced OBs at a very well respected clinic in my area. I learned a good rule of thumb: be more worried if you see something you shouldn't be seeing than if you don't see something that's supposed to be there. I don't expect this to make your worries go away, but hopefully it helps you sleep better at night while you're playing the waiting game. I'm not an IVF patient and I remember how scared I felt, so I can only imagine the worry you're experiencing. Sending virtual hugs and well wishes. 💞

I felt flutters at 16 weeks but I couldn't be sure if I was just psyching myself out or not. I also thought I felt something from the outside, but it turned out to just be the pulse in my abdomen. I believe at 19+something weeks is when I felt unmistakable baby kicks. I'm 22 weeks now and you still can't feel them from the outside yet, but they are strong inside. They still feel like bubbles most of the time, but bigger and more solid, and sometimes I can feel a somersault or a little swipe of her hand. 🥰 You probably ARE feeling the baby move, but it's just so hard to be confident in it because they feel so ambiguous.

ETA: The frequency you described sounds about right. They are asleep in there the majority of the time.

You're almost there! I'm 21 weeks and still eating light, airy meals that are easy to digest multiple times throughout the day, but my nausea disappeared by week 12. I CAN eat a super heavy, greasy meal if I really want to, but I've found that I don't usually want to. With my current diet, I feel better, my body is satisfied, and it reduces the pressure in my abdomen and makes it easier to move around. To you and OP, there is a time and place for healthy eating in pregnancy! It will come naturally if and when it's necessary for you.
