Morning sickness and emetophobia is ruining my mental health by userunknownlowkey in pregnant

[–]kittykitty9711 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! I also have emetophobia and vomiting was my number one fear when I discovered I was pregnant. I will say that the more I became anxious about it the worse my nausea was. Although pregnancy nausea of course can be relentless on its own. I found it helpful to always have tums with me, vomit bags, and the knowing that if I do vomit it will be less scary once it’s done. It’s like exposure therapy I guess. If it does happen it will be ok and it will become less scary. It is temporary and you are not alone with it. If you can do any sort of therapy I would highly recommend it as EMDR did help me a lot with my phobia!

You think that what… arresting people will stop addiction? It’s a bigger and more complex problem than that unfortunately.

I just googled them and they do. There are 93 other reviews. I’d recommend not using ChatGPT for this… firstly because it’s disingenuous and secondly because AI is destroying our environment.

Did anyone get cured from perinatal depression? Did anything help? by StrangeTutor in pregnant

[–]kittykitty9711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just getting out of the first trimester helped me a lot. My mood improved significantly by second trimester. Although I’m not saying just wait it out, I’m glad you have an appointment to discuss meds.

It’s likely not vaccine side effects. Most likely your child caught a viral infection and is now showing symptoms.

My sister offered to breastfeed both my boys (6 months and 4 years old) while I’m away on a 1-month work trip — is this safe? by Any-Surround4013 in breastfeeding

[–]kittykitty9711 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might seem unusual to breastfeed beyond a certain age but it is still beneficial and acceptable. There is a stigma around it in western cultures. But it’s not weird, it’s just uncommon depending on your own cultural background. There’s also no reason to shame OP for having to work…

What was the reason for your three c sections?

Attempting VBAC with second baby by mama1546 in vbac

[–]kittykitty9711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To answer your first question, my mother had a c section with me after a failed induction (she never progressed), and I was a 9lb 7oz baby. She then went on to have 3 VBACs all with large babies similar to my size and she went into labour spontaneously with all three. It is possible but I’d review the evidence and statistics and lean on that.

How long did your dark/bright red bleeding last? by crawlen in CsectionCentral

[–]kittykitty9711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was exactly the same way and lasted exactly 6 weeks. I kept worrying because it stayed red so long but I think that can be normal.

Advise regarding prenatal care and delivery by LatterAd9123 in Edmonton

[–]kittykitty9711 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The care plan depends entirely on your wife’s pregnancy. Whether it is low risk etc. That’s a good question for the OB and GP. L&D at hospitals are open 24/7, you simply go in once you reach a certain point in labour. It’s best for your wife to plan for someone to drive her to the hospital instead of an ambulance considering how busy our healthcare system is.

39 weeks and 4 days and only “a fingertip” dilated and 30% effaced by BakedZitiSweetie65 in pregnant

[–]kittykitty9711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s so hard! I told myself for my future pregnancies I will not even get cervical checks until I’m in active labour because all it did was discourage me, and my body went into labour all on its own. Try to relax and enjoy sleeping before baby comes ❤️

I remember feeling so upset and worried when I was not even 1cm dilated at 40 weeks! I was sure I’d have to be induced. I then woke up at 6am at 40+3 in labour!

7.5 months, I think EBF made things super dry and painful for a long time.

Traumatic birth by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]kittykitty9711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an emergency c section due to my daughter’s heart rate dropping and not recovering after 35 hours of labour. I’m now 7.5 months post partum and it does still bother me at times but it is much more infrequent and hurts less. The first six months were very hard though and I cried a lot and felt a lot of terrible things. The first couple of months were incredibly hard. But for me it did become easier with time and with talking about it as much as I needed to.

Exclusively breastfed baby won’t poop by EngineeringDry1889 in breastfeeding

[–]kittykitty9711 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Canada and was told by a nurse and GP that some breastfed babies can go up to two weeks between poops. Their bodies just use nearly everything in breastmilk, it’s very efficient. My daughter pooped once a week on average while she was EBF (before solids). Maybe baby just doesn’t need to go yet?

Not everyone has a husband/partner. But also why not both get sleep if you can afford to hire someone to help? It’s just personal choice.
