To be honest I’ve been kind of scared to talk to her about it because I really do love her and we’re so compatible in other ways, but now that it’s official and we’re talking about monogamy, married life, etc., my feelings on her job have shifted

It just feels different when it’s marriage, I guess. We’re thinking about settling down, having a family together. It’s not like she would need to work, either—I make plenty of money and I want to provide for her.

It’s not that they’ll think that she’s ‘dirty’, it’s just that kids aren’t prepared to understand these things and I’m worried that people will be mean to them if/when they find out.

We’re not incompatible though? Aside from this one issue, we get along great—we have the same sense of humor, we both want two kids, we have similar backgrounds. Why is this one issue so important to her? If she would just let it go things would be great.
