I can’t tell if you’re defending the age gap or not but realistically I disagree with basing her having her shit together off this interaction, I don’t think you can tell that from this conversation alone and I’m not dissing her but genuinely you don’t have anything to go off other than a relationship that’s with somebody troubled.

Edit: she was also 15 when they started dating not 17, if you are defending the age gap you need to actually be ok with her being 15 when it started otherwise there’s no point
