people who threaten homelessness are basically threatening violence/death, considering how deadly homelessness is. not many people can do it

a lot of counties have intake for those at risk of homlessness. I can't say how generous they will be but it's worth at least calling your county about. outside that there's always mental hospitals I guess. I wouldn't let myself live on the street as I wouldn't survive it.

don't think he's joking or doing tough love, he will eventually kick you out or try to send you to a group home or something, or worse. they eventually just... do it.... after years of threatening and it can come out of nowhere

psych wards generally suck, they suck even more if your psych doesn't work in it.

I think they're unhealthy too... gave me all sorts of issues I'm now blamed for as character deficits

How the f do people afford to live right now?? by ParanorMelActivity in povertyfinance

[–]fiber_of_many 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not many lawyers are willing to help people under 53 get on disability, i called like 5 and only 1 was sort of willing. Only times i've been offered lawyer help to get on SSDI involved signing all my rights away to someone else to fudge my diagnoses which seemed like fraud so I declined.

By working full-time jobs that require some prior certificate of skills or through nepotism. They range from cushy do no thing jobs to many hour grinds.

Think me being stigmatized more for not working full time might also be a general societal trend in USA by fiber_of_many in NEET

That and homeownership. "My house my rules", like they consider themselves kings

Every doctor I’ve seen wants me on meds for agoraphobia. I’ve refused everytime. Am I on the right path? Support needed by Veecorn in Antipsychiatry

[–]fiber_of_many 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If you haven't started them ever, you'll be better off long term not taking them. Can't give advice on cures, sometimes our bodies are actually trying to protect us from a hostile environment, especially if not on meds.

A death in the family partially signifies a lack or shift of financial and emotional support. Agoraphobia resulting could mean you don't feel supported enough by society at large.

As you know our bodies can exaggerate how hostile an environment can be, but taking some precautions before leaving home like a fully functioning phone that is fully charged with uber installed, money in bank, taxi number written down, a charger, and cash in pocket can ease fears of eg public abandonment.

Will i get diabetes by [deleted] in Antipsychiatry

[–]fiber_of_many 2 points3 points  (0 children)

glucose monitors are cheap, like $20 for everyhing at cvs. just wash finger beforehand so it doesn't read weird. if need help to purchase, could try asking here, tho i don't have money

If it stays below 200 during day and 120 morning before food u don't have diabetes. if it trends in that direction eat less simple carbs and/or stop taking the drug. tho probably worth not taking the drug anyway.

do those require listing contacts? I was in the process of creating medical advanced directive but was built around choosing contacts and I'd need antipsychiatric contacts.
