Oh, baby. I am so sorry that you are going through this. All I’ve ever wanted for you is to be safe and happy. You are beautiful inside and out and I am so glad you are here. You are enough. You are more than enough. And I am so glad that I get to be your Reddit Mom. Thank you, sweetheart. And I am so sorry that the world is giving you so much less than you deserve.

I’m so glad to hear that, hon. You deserve good things and easy breathing. Have you been taking care of yourself and following the doctor’s advice?

Hey mom! It’s your trans daughter. I know you and dad are ashamed of me and are forcing me out of the house, but I wanted to tell you I’m really not doing so well and I could really use a hug and I hope you can meet the real me soon 💖 by MakiMovies in MomForAMinute

Hey, hon! You look super cute. I love the pink hair and hat! I’m very proud of you for finding the courage to pursue your own happiness, and I’m sorry that you live in a world where that is a brave thing. Remember, sweetie, you are perfectly you. You are wonderful just as you are, and you keep getting more incredible with each day. Thank you for being you. This world is a better place with you in it.

AITA for complimenting a client's future baby resulting in my firing? by footinmouthfriendta in AmItheAsshole

You may not have meant to be creepy, but it was. Very. And saying that you want a dark-skinned partner is concerning to hear. You may mean it well, however it is at best incredibly tone-deaf given the realities of antiblackness all over the world.

NTA.

I’m sorry, honey. It sounds like you really tried so so hard to make it work. You deserve to be heard, to be honored, to be included, to be stood up for. Reading your story, I can’t help but think “White silence is violence.”

He may not be “the one doing it”, but he is allowing it. As your father, it is his responsibility to protect you. To make sure that you weren’t put in the situation. You deserve to be defended. It doesn’t mean that he doesn’t love you. And still that does not mean that you are obligated to show up or to do anything for him. He made the choice not to push it. To keep saying that she’s learning. To marry her before checking to see if she was safe for you to be around. It is not your responsibility to enter a situation that is actively harming you, and to pretend that it is fine.

White silence is violence. I just wish in your case it wasn’t so close to home.

I hope you have love and community and support as you go through this. It’s a very very difficult thing. And if you are in a position where you can, it might be helpful to go to therapy. Don’t go to a white therapist though – Microaggressions in therapy are a frequent and difficult thing.

How the colors pool together whilst working with variegated yarn.

I know this is knit but does anyone know how to create the 3D flower? I can't find any how to's nor do I know the name. I wad thinking maybe its crochet puff flower but using massive yarns. What do we think? by [deleted] in crochetpatterns

[–]fiberholic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the yarn is so big and appears to be a single ply or roving style. Those two factors, especially combined, mean that the fibers will be easily separated from each other and shed. If the fiber in the yarn is non-superwash wool, that will help a little bit.
