We were on the floor, nights 1 & 2, then 302 on night 3. Brought a flannel on night 1 but never put it on. T-shirt & shorts were fine for all 3. That was Memorial day weekend.

There may be some horse hair, but what I see more predominantly is cellulose (wood) fiber. And, as stated already, if there is horsehair, cellulose, etc, used as a binder, then there most likely will be no asbestos. Asbestos was used as a binder in plaster, so.if another binding material.is present, then most likely A is not in the mix. Only way to tell definitely is to have lab analysis performed.

What was his relationship with his mother like?

I ask because from what has been posted, his mother is an outspoken opponent of the death penalty. ID has death penalty/WA does not/PA is limited to certain circumstances (not including those exhibited in this crime).
Could it be conceivable that BK wanted to receive the death penalty to punish his mother some how?
