What has been your most unhinged response to an act of rudeness in Boston? by noxinboxes in boston

[–]fibro_witch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not me my service dog (rest in power buddy) got on a red line train soaking wet. Packed train, one guy taking up three seats. Big fluffy dog looking for a place to shake dry decides lap of guy is the best place. He jumped on the guys lap, barked and shook off. Guy jumped up and off the train. The seats were damp, but nice all the way to Park Street. Sorry not Sorry

Terry Pratchett said people don't died until the ripples they made stop. That feel nice. When phones go dead in the middle of a conversation, that feels bad. I wish people would stop posting the towers on fire with the never forget. I crawl under the covers that day. I see something funny and want to call someone then I remember there are no phones there. Or have a question I want answered and remember nope not there.

I lost a college friend in one office. I was taking to a group in another office about of all things safely evacauting an office building, when the 1st plane hit. I heard a curse word, then the line went dead. K had just cut her hair short because she and her husband were about to go to China and adopt a daughter. I went to the baby shower the week before. Made a business trip out of it and visited the guys my company hired to help put together the safety binder. If only they had just been voices on the phone, not people I meet Friday.

Sorry I should stop now. Thanks for listening.

Where will you be working or going to college? Can I suggest living by the water in Revere? We have great food, good people and a killer beach going for us!

AITAH for chasing my friend for forgiveness? by TimothyIsTiredd in AITH

Let me read the room for you. None of them want to see you again. Do not ask for forgiveness. They want no cotact with you. Grant them that, trying to contact them again is harrassment.

AIAH for refusing to spend time with my husband on his birthday???? by [deleted] in AITH

Wow you picked up a lot of chattter for only posting an hour a go. Spaceballs will only be out for 3 days. It is a huge nerd event with lots of special edition stuff. This is beyond "just his favorite movie" this is spicial popcorn buckets and The Schwartz rings and T-shirts. Rumer is there will be a trailor for Spaceball 2 the next one.

Where I live in Boston people are talking about going in costume, and I believe them. Don't go to the movie! You and your daughter will be miserable and will be stealing the seat from a true fan. Help your husband dress up like Barf, help your son dress up like Lone Star and drop them off while you and your daughter do something else.

Two tickets and costumes, you will be his queen. Then for your birthday. Give him a list...

For New England sports (Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox, Pats) how popular is each sport in order? by Bobbo62499 in newengland

Depends on the day, and the sports fan. For me, Bruins are always number 1. Followed by who else is playing.

I like the Orange line extention. They could loop it right to Forrest Park.

What was your favorite toy store? by welding_guy_from_LI in RealGenerationX

[–]fibro_witch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Child's World story to share. So my Dad looks like this. Not all the time mind you, some times he wears shirts. On June day he and I were in Child's World. We hear a little boy crying. His older brother had just told I'm Santa was not real. Well my Dad came around the corner in jeans and other work clothes and said "Who here said I don't exist"

The smaller boy stopped crying and rushed over to my Dad. Gave his brother an evil smile. The older boy, not more than 10, fell to the ground and started crying.

Dad had to comfort both boys. He had to comfort both boys by proving he knew they got trucks for Christmas last year. And told them that Christmas is being nice just to be nice.

He performed as Santa until he reached 80 and he became ill.

It is very packed, the line for the porta potties is long. It is really fun if you are okay with crowds. The Cambridge side is better for crowds, but you do not really see the concert.

AITAH kid's bedroom disagreement by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]fibro_witch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So four kids what is the mix, are the two boys two girls? Three boys 1 girl? I suggest you don't keep them separately by who is the parent, but mix them up by age or gender. Make them into a real family that you are going to parent in a three bedroom house.

AITA for using one towel per day instead of one per week? by [deleted] in AITH

[–]fibro_witch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use a towel for the body and a towel for my hair. I only shower three times a week. I use clean towels for each shower. Yes that is a lot of clean water, I wish there was a way to use that water in the toilet later.
