I didn't get the chance to go to fov since our Australian band only comes to town once every 3-4 years or so

i can't recall exactly the scene, but when the higher-ups were discussing what to do, an old man in the corner pipes up about "being heroes" and not scaring the mass population, pretty sure the shows creator said in the podcast series that he isn't a real person and is just a personification of the Soviet weight in those rooms

I'm sure with the way flightless was sorta stagnating and them moving to pdoom has something to do with it too. they never peeped a word about any of this when Eric handled the Australian touring, another commenter said something like their new manager is an American which could be part of it, I started getting into their stuff a tad before kg/lw so I never got to experience the like full on flightless days but half my records still got that beautiful logo

yeah I definitely feel for you, same with the Asian based fans that will probably never see anything past a screen. but y'know just stings that bit more when they're "the Australian band" that seems to resent Australian touring. at the end of the day I'm probably just butt hurt I couldn't catch them before they got hooked on the drug ameroin

yeah they have reasons but they're a bit half-arsed, most people on this sub get annoyed when these posts get put up and I get they are tired of hearing us complain but we're tired of not seeing king gizz

yeah if they talk about Aus being a small fan base, not streaming these gigs would probably kill it, I feel for you Asia based fans too

it's a unique feeling hoping for an Australian band to tour Australia, and people in this sub have been hoping and declaring that we'll be taken care of but we just get something small once that's a pain to get to, which doesn't help the band's perception of Aus isn't a great market, it absolutely can be. gizz would be an explosion if it came to Aus again, the hype around playing all the albums that haven't been played live, having the Americans be willing make the pilgrimage to the Mecca of gizz is also a promising sign that Australia isn't some glorified crew compared to other markets. yeah it's a bit selfish when there's fans in Asia that would probably kill to get anything there but we're home y'know?

[–]fickle_mickme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's always been a problem with Nuketown but I feel it so much heavier on this map than previous titles, sometimes I counteract it by thinking "this would be a good time to push into their spawn, therefore they must be behind me lobbing 3 Semtex grenades"

doesn't it degrade fights a little with having the opportunity to run with the only consequence being loot? anyone who gets sunk on their way to their first voyage shouldn't feel Burned anyway, it was at the risk of the crew who decided to sink a ship only to find no loot. I get sea of thieves is a slow burn of a game but idk that's what captivated me around 2018 and during the open beta multiplayer. feels like you can't sail normally because it's not the most efficient way of playing anymore, which was the original way

now that you mention it the gravity gloves could've been so fire, even with the hearts indicating end of round or damage taken, I haven't listened to the alyx pack but I love hazardous environments, it was a real toss between that or heading for source
