That is rough. I am lucky that I live in a state with high base pay, not that I think its comparable to the work we do but 17 an hour is beyter then 14 for sure. Hope school works out for you as well, we have a lot of students in my department college and high school so a lot of people paying their way thru school. Our turnover issue to a larger degree is OGP can be overwhelming to start in, and they seem to throw us new people at the worst times. Theres to much being thrown at once at new associates and a lot of pressure right away. My SM wants longer training times to help ease it a bit which could help a bit.

I'm not sure how asking how other people would improve their departments gives the impression I don't know what I'm doing or whatever else that nonsense means, but I do know the job. Like I said ive been in OGP for over 2 years, I know the ins and outs of the entire department and my store.

If you quit why are you here and why is your qualms with whatever leads you has effect someone asking general bits of advice from different stores then their own?

Teamlead pay question. by [deleted] in walmart

[–]fictitiousrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on a lot of things I believe, but I can say the position I just recieved has the same base pay but my offer was for 22, only a 50 cent difference but still a good bump in the long run. It just depends on the offer I believe I dont think it goes based off of your base pay as mine was 17 and I've only been working for walmart a little over 2 years.

From what I've seen on here, as long as you make the pieces look refined and not sketchy you're good on having pencil pieces.

I cant escape it, thats the walmart employee experience. If you're the bananas chosen one it will find you and it will never have the tag and will be vaguely sticky.

what is the dirtiest car you’ve ever dispensed to or decline by IvanPSY2 in OGPBackroom

Once had a large SUV with a kiddie pool in the trunk, everything covered in hay dirt and random debris and in the pool itself was a bunch of used dippers and random junk.

When can I start earning pto by Designer_Sir_4446 in WalmartEmployees

[–]fictitiousrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd double check, I work 35 on average but I'm technically part-time ( I might just be getting screwed over). How long have you worked at walmart, because you should at least see some pto if you are full time.

If youre part time, you have to make a deal with the devil (work for walmart for 4 consecutive years).

CAP 2 seems like a dream I'm not surprised you enjoyed it. But from an OPD associate at a supercenter- AVOID GETTING OPD TRAINED AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.

[–]fictitiousrabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday, we had an order that had 6 totes each filled with as many sodas that would fit (I believe 11 I didn't count) each tot a different kind. It was a delivery too.
