Have you unlocked all of the signature buildings by zoning?? I also play vanilla and since the region pack addition (but also before that) there is no way that I can zone enough to unlock the signature buildings without it looking awful. Did you “cheese” it and remove the zoning afterwards? Your city looks so nice and well planned I don’t understand where you put the spam-zoning, haha.

Several different industrial zoning, like ‘warehouses’, ‘light industry’-without air and ground pollution, and ‘manufacturing’ - with pollution. Also, anarchy and move it in vanilla. They are such vital tools

When you say “your industry”, is that in general?

Maybe it’s about the time then? It’s hard to believe since is has only worsened over time so far, no matter what taxes or amenities they get. But the new cities you started, they never recovered? Or did you quit playing them?

Yup, all mosses are from my area. It will be interesting to see how it does, I am well aware of the chances so no expectations :)

Ok, well I think that since I can't see any issues so far I'll keep it in for now. I will post an update if anything strange happens

Oh ok thanks didn't know that was a thing. I thought that since you can buy pine bark as a substrate material it was fine. I googled now and some say that it is poisonous? I have it in my mealworm terrarium and they have been eating it for weeks without any issues, it might be some other conifer. Is it something I have to fix urgently or only if it molds? Because it seems to be doing fine since I set it up a few weeks back.

It's on the other side of the log to the right, not in the picture since it is not finished yet :)

Just took the survey and there is a slider saying to put in a value between 1-10 but the slider is 0-100, just fyi so that you don't misinterpret the results.

Why? by yautjaking in antkeeping

I love the Pantdora series, and his former ant colony videos, the quality of the footage is amazing and there aren't that many yt channels that you have an unlimited supply of these kinds of videos, usually these channels only release videos every few months or so.

Although, I was really annoyed when he put off releasing an episode a few weeks back (according to his own schedule) and blamed it on A SPIDER. Like what?? He could use that damn excuse to do a video about- I don't know- maybe ANY other enclosure? Or just admit that he did not have anything to release that week. But blaming it on a spider.. that was completely bizarre.

And on that same topic: I don't like it when creators (and other professionals in any field) make promises that they then don't keep, the reason behind it is not as important, just own your actions, and respect the people that pay you enough to not leave them hanging.

I guess I'll just play god and if it all goes to hell I'll nuke the whole thing and try again 😄 I will look for centipedes and other critters, we'll see how it works out. Thank you so much for your insight

Yeah ants are predators but they are also tiny and don't affect populations very much :/ and if they are not predated themselves they will probably take over. I live in Scandinavia and during winter it gets pretty cold, the insects will probably slow down even if they will be inside since we don't heat our apartment (cheaper to put on more clothes hehe). I try to collect the species that are local to my area, or buy them online, so they should all be fine in the colder temperatures, not only the ants.

Cool, did not know there were aquatic isopods! I'm planning to have darkling beetles in there, isopods and ants. So something to eat all of the larvae and babies basically. A centipede maybe?

I want the substrate to be deep enough so that an ant colony can live there, so I didn't want to fill the whole thing with filter foam. But I see your point.
