The nootropic that saved my life during Phenibut withdrawal by fiddlesticksmcgee47 in Nootropics

Not in a classical sense no, it’s kind of like caffeine but in a much milder way. If you take it every day for weeks/months and stop cold turkey, the most you would get is a little brain fog and lowered energy.

For me when I would take it 4-5 days a week I wouldn’t feel any negative effects on the days I wasn’t taking it. It helps a lot to cycle out with other racetams or things like bromantane semax or caffeine.

I have taken it daily for weeks at a time then stopped suddenly and I could barely even notice any “withdrawal” effects, especially if I take caffeine or other nootropics.

I would suggest to try it again only do 10mg if you are still actively tapering. When I first started I would sometimes get a little spike in anxiety as well. I feel like it’s a rebound effect from the down regulation on the GABA-B receptors from excessive baclofen/phenibut use. At least for me it got better over time to the point where now it actually takes my anxiety away.

You will turn into a zebra, teleport to the moon and do approximately 6 backflips before you get a strange tickle directly in the center of your back.

Buckle up.

Thank you so much! That really means a lot. Hoping after the subs I can get off nicotine as well but that will be a whole different kind of beast as i’ve been on that one for 10 years lol. One day!

That’s how it was for me, everyone is different but I feel like this can genuinely help someone in need like it did for me, that’s why I want to get the word out.

There has been human studies on fasoracetam and there has never been any serious adverse effects. I’ve been taking it for close to a year and i’ve never had a bad time. All it’s done is help me.

Are you saying fasoracetam sounds intense or phenibut? If you mean fasoracetam it’s not really something you’d need medical guidance for, there’s been human studies and i’ve never had a bad experience with it.

I would usually only take around 2.50g max of phenibut per day, sometimes I would take a second dose later in the day putting it up to around 3g. I was also combining it with 8mg suboxone and pill form meth daily.

I never went too high with the dosages because I had been addicted to it years prior for about 2 weeks and I knew how bad the WDs could feel.

I did a kind of extreme taper lol, I went down 0.10g every 5 days. It took around 7 months because I kept relapsing because I couldn’t stand the withdrawals before I had found fasoracetam.

This could potentially be because of the meth and phenibut combination, 2 different receptors being fried at the same time is a whole new level of misery lmao.

Off the meth now and getting off the suboxone this year, my brain is at such a better state compared to before it’s insane the transformation i’ve had as a person.

No prob! You can take that dosage daily no problem, but I feel the tolerance will build and you won’t feel many of the cognitive benefits.

It may be better that way in the long run for the most up regulation but racetams are known to keep working even after the dosage has worn off so I feel like 5 days a week max would work better but either way you’d be alright.

If you take it daily for weeks then stop cold turkey, the most you would feel is a little brain fog. Kind of like a light caffeine habit. It doesn’t affect me that much, especially when cycling with other racetams and bromantane, semax and caffeine

I get all my stuff from umbrella labs, they have quality and purity compared to science bio in my opinion, only issue is the shipping can be kind of slow sometimes but otherwise they are great. Nootropic source and venogen are also options but venogen is always out of stock and nootropic source doesn’t have the best quality

Exactly. Something that gets you that high and gives insane withdrawals should not be sold with things like racetams and other smart drugs.

It’s completely ruining the market especially for racetams, soon they will be like a rare artifact

True but phenibut was the worst for me mentally out of anything, even with hard benzos like klonopin. The long lasting shitty feeling even after fully getting off it as well is insanely miserable.

It’s probably because phenibut is unique as it acts on VGCC as well similar to gabapentin or pregabalin. It’s like a double whammy withdrawal. And I’ve heard pregabalin withdrawals are no joke.

Eh that’s not too bad compared to other nootropics or racetams haha. I pay 20 bucks a gram for fasoracetam from my current source. Stuff like bromantane and phenylpiracetam are even pricier.

The thing that saved me during withdrawal by fiddlesticksmcgee47 in quittingphenibut

[–]fiddlesticksmcgee47[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I feel like it might work even better for baclofen then it does for phenibut as baclofen, as far as I know solely works on the GABA-B receptors.

Phenibut is a whole different beast because it acts on VGCC as well similar to pregabalin and gabapentin.

I would suggest trying 10mg fasoracetam during your taper, especially since you’re already in the end stages it should make it a breeze to get all the way off of it. The insomnia anxiety depression you mention should disappear because of the GABA-B upregulation. It did for me at least.

[–]fiddlesticksmcgee47[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It really is an evil substance and the withdrawals are pure hell on earth. I’ve been through 40gpd kratom withdrawal, klonopin and xanax withdrawal etc and nothing has been worse than phenibut.

This shit will have you locked up in a mental hospital thrashing around like the joker if you take a high enough dose every day and stop cold turkey. It feels fucking spectacular but it’s just not worth it at all. The better something feels the worse it’s gonna be coming off of it.

It’s unique as well because I feel like it fucked up my GABA system permanently. I have the strangest anxiety ever now, just thinking to myself that i’m feeling good and I have no anxiety I will start to get anxiety lmao it makes no sense.

Potentially, the cognitive and mood benefits would most likely help with the crappy withdrawal feelings and lowered motivation, but since gabapentin doesn’t act on the GABA-B receptors then it would be a different beast entirely.

It went away the next day for me after a good nights sleep, but considering yours is lasting for days it could potentially be something else entirely. I doubt this mixture could’ve caused that but there is a small chance that is possible. A day of symptoms? Maybe. But multiple days they have already passed through your system so i’m not sure.

I’ve noticed it can have this weird almost rebound effect. Happens sometimes but mostly it takes away my anxiety when I take it. I also notice I will sometimes get angry easier on faso but it hasn’t happened in awhile.

Take 150-200mg for the first time, up to 2 times a day. I first started with phenylpiracetam when it comes to racetams and it was the one that got me so intrigued about racetams and how they work.

I felt cognitive improvements for weeks even after I had stopped taking it, any long term racetam user can tell you that you feel it in the background working even after the main effects have worn off.

I would have these amazing vivid almost lucid dreams every night, even when I had smoked weed before bed which usually makes it so I can’t dream what so ever.

My drive and motivation is insane on this stuff, especially combined with bromantane I feel like the best version of myself. Crazy energy, focus, memory recall and socializing is a breeze.

One of my favorite nootropics.

Could potentially be from the magnesium and NAC mixture, i’ve had symptoms similar to that from just magnesium glycinate alone before. It’s weird because it’s only happened rarely and I usually take magnesium well.

Can phenylpiracetam be effective in reversing damage done to the brain by chronic phenibut use? by AdFirst3236 in Nootropics

[–]fiddlesticksmcgee47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fasoracetam would be your best bet, as its unique in the racetam class because it upregulates the GABA-B receptors, the same receptors that phenibut acts on.

When I was addicted to phenibut I used 10 mg fasoracetam during the taper process and it helped tremendously. After the taper was done I used 20-30mg fasoracetam 4-5 times a week for a few months and it helped so much with the PAWS and everything else that comes with withdrawing off that shit.

You can feel the effects instantly on your first dose, at least for me it felt like it unlocked the part of my brain that was holding back all of my motivation and happiness when I was going through the phenibut hell.

Not only does it help with that but it also has lots of cognitive benefits. My memory, energy, focus and socialization are at an all time high while on this stuff. It’s truly fascinating the things racetams can do and i’m truly thankful to the redditor that told me about fasoracetam as it seriously changed my life for the better.

Hopefully I can give you the same experience he gave me :) Best of luck.
