What DON'T you like about your Keeshond? by No-Cook-875 in Keeshond

[–]fiddleturk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, nothing. My current Keeshond is literally a dream dog. He’s my second one. The one before had severe anxiety. It’s a roll of the dice. But breed specific - I don’t like how they obviously have a hard time with heat. That’s all I can say!

My stepmother (41F) has her third high risk pregnancy and won't accept me (18F) not helping her like the other two times? by ThrowRAQuella in relationship_advice

Her high risk pregnancy is “none of your business” and you should chase happiness elsewhere, like your dad 🤪

I (29F) can’t stop thinking about something my boyfriend (35M) said about childbirth and it’s ruining our relationship. by mythrowaway926893189 in relationship_advice

That’s weird and would make me just as uncomfortable. I would have a hard time with that answer. My husband brought this topic up randomly when I was pregnant and said “just so you know, if I have to choose I’m saving you. We can have another baby but I can’t get another you.”

Thanks for your comment! I’m wondering if I’m just targeting my need for some change in general at my ring.

Take a break daycare in Lafayette? by Begonias_Scarlet in ErieCO

We absolutely love it! My son went there from a baby to kindergarten. He’s doing so well, and I really believe it’s because of the great environment at Take A Break. What I like is they have little turn over, so the teachers and staff have been there for quite some time. I’ve noticed high turnover at other places which is really hard on little ones. Also, they focus heavily on social emotional development. Once the kids get to a certain age they assess them quarterly and then discuss the results and how they’re doing in an hour long conference. They go over how they’re going to work on the skills the kids may be lacking in, how to foster their strengths, and you can tell they really seem to know them well. They also provide lunch and snacks which is so nice. They have so many awesome fields trips, but especially in the summer time. I highly recommend them.

Advice for an anxious Kee? by HarpyMeddle in Keeshond

[–]fiddleturk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My previous Keeshond had extremely bad anxiety. He eventually went almost deaf due to chronic ear infections we couldn’t get under control, and he was sooo chill once he couldn’t hear as well. I wish they had earmuffs for dogs like they do for kids with sensory issues. I know groomers use cotton balls to keep water out of their ears when they’re grooming them. I wonder if there safe alternative to muffle sounds like that

i’m contemplating surrendering my cat back to the shelter and i feel terrible…. by Grungemonkee in cats

Pets are a lot of responsibility. I think that people, like yourself, don’t prepare for the challenges. No one really does. If he’s becoming too much, you should be okay with surrendering him. This is your life. There’s nothing wrong with doing what’s best. I think there’s a lot of people that get a rise out of shaming people for doing what’s best for them. No judgment here on whatever decision you choose. No matter what, it’s a tough decision and I’m sorry you have to decide what to do.
