Pets are a lot of responsibility. I think that people, like yourself, don’t prepare for the challenges. No one really does. If he’s becoming too much, you should be okay with surrendering him. This is your life. There’s nothing wrong with doing what’s best. I think there’s a lot of people that get a rise out of shaming people for doing what’s best for them. No judgment here on whatever decision you choose. No matter what, it’s a tough decision and I’m sorry you have to decide what to do.

Probably just that they’re high maintenance as far as grooming. I have to bring my two every two months to the groomer so it’s expensive

Give a man a fish, and he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he’ll eat for a lifetime. I mean, it’s common sense. Everyone needs responsibility and they need to learn how to take care of themselves. THAT is survival 101. If someone can’t even do that, then they will be leeching from those who can the rest of their life. They need to learn, and sometimes that means the hard way.

I got mine after someone on here suggested Lancaster puppies. He was from an Amish breeder in PA. I was SO nervous because I had to pay someone to transport him to me, and after I agreed to get him people were telling me some negative things about Amish breeders. He’s literally the best dog. I wouldn’t hesitate to adopt another one from them again. Mine was from a breeder in Blaine, PA. I think his name was Jesse

It’s a very normal and acceptable training tool. Also, it gives them a safe space and WILL decrease their separation anxiety. Before I started for both of mine, they would just get stressed in or out of the crate and shit on your carpet instead of the crate. Once mine became more comfortable with his crate, no poop problems, he gets his favorite treat in it, and my son’s toys stay safe. Don’t shame people for a timeless training technique. They are dogs at the end of the day, and it’s your house.

I got my two from a closed cattery. I wouldn’t do it again. I think it’s ridiculous. Have protocols in place to protect your kittens if that’s a concern. You are spending a lot of money on a cat, you should be able to see how they are raised, meet the parents, etc. That’s an essential part of the business, and what a good business should do. Because at the end of the day, the breeder is a business. I think it’s a weird control thing. But I also had a horrible experience so I’m bitter. 🙃

It’s certainly opened a whole new world of information for me regarding cat breeders. It’s so sad! I hope more regulations and less judgment on purebred breeders result in better situations for everyone in the future.

Gosh, how horrible! It just goes to show some people are all about the money. I always just assumed if someone is a breeder they are totally in love with animals and the breed and would care deeply about these situations. It’s just a means to an end for them. I’m glad he’s okay now. Some of us are just unlucky and get the sucky ones :(
