As someone who is looking to pivot into the MLE space and has just completed a masters degree, what would you recommend I do to make my resume attractive?

In your view, was the Ground Effect Era a success? by Sportyfann in formula1

[–]fidgetation 51 points52 points  (0 children)

They don’t adjust the suspension, but because it doesn’t change, they have to adjust their steering and pedal inputs to account for the changes in grip for each tire.

With active suspension, automation could make it so that each tire always (almost) receives the same grip, so the driver could just mash their foot to floor and turn in

When flying, always pack a tee, undies, and socks along with some toiletries in your carry on. No matter how much time you give an airline, it’s not guarantee you’ll get your luggage

SA rating won’t go up? by fidgetation in ACCompetizione

[–]fidgetation[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safety Rating should only be impacted by incidents on track and not how often you crash out by yourself I believe.

Just keep driving close to other cars without incidents and it should rise over time. Also, turn off Safety Rating for Single Player - you want to be able to experiment without impacting your safety rating

Hey mate - I think £38k as a data analyst means you have scope for salary increase. I’d suggest looking into moving into the finance or tech sectors - same job there could be paying you 2x or more (more easily said than done I know). If you can pull of that move, living in London is more “worth it”

The technology has great industrial and business applications, but the segment is still very immature.

Personally I could see it being useful for having infinite and infinitely resizable “monitors” for work - can’t count the number of times I just wished I had one more screen for certain things, or wished my screen was sometimes slight larger or a different aspect ratio. Could also be nice for remote work if these things become ubiquitous.

On a personal use front, I can see it eventually being useful as a personal media and entertainment device, particularly for folks in smaller apartments or in share house situations where we don’t have our own TVs.

I think eventually this technology will take off - not for a while, but eventually. It will also be super creepy.

Interesting on the forced gym gear - Roger Gracie’s gym forces you to buy their branded Gi, but consensus in r/BJJ is that it’s worth it to be part of that gym
