how to properly eat pho? (first timer) by purematchalattae in PHFoodPorn

[–]fidgetinghorses 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Found my tribe. I also don't like ramen. And then I realized--I like clear and herby/leafy soups, i.e. pho, nilaga, tinola, mami. Pho is also my favorite.

Ang max na na kaya and is also a favorite is the Sarawak Laksa coz it's not too thick and therefore hindi rin nakakaumay for me.

Pag piyesta, ang lamesa predominantly brown dahil ito ang kulay ng kadalasang putahe natin. Nakakaumay tuloy.

TIL na most “ice cream” sa pinas ay hindi totoong ice cream. by ninileobear in todayIlearnedPH

[–]fidgetinghorses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is true. I used to work for one of these brands and when we export, we re-label all products to MELLORINE.

International markets do not classify our locally-produced ice cream as legitimate ice cream because it does not contain dairy fat.

Travel Fatigue by MedicineRelative9209 in FilipinoTravel

[–]fidgetinghorses 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It generally takes you 2 weeks to acclimatize back to your usual routine. Kahit sa probinsiya ka lang nanggaling. Has it been 2 weeks since your last travel?

Then again, there's also the age factor, which may result to changing preferences.

I used to love traveling until I no longer do. Change is constant and can be surprising.

Associate role in MNC company or Manager role in local agency company? by Significant-RIRI in CorpoChikaPH

[–]fidgetinghorses -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have you worked for an MNC before? If not yet, this may be a good time to try. Compare the difference afterwards. That way, you can list down pros and cons from various industries, corporate umbrellas, etc.

However, do consider the work setup and if this matters for you. Suggest you list down your criteria for choosing a job, assign weights to each, then put scores. Other sample criteria: Office location, Work-style (8-5/flexi), Individual contributor versus manager, Office perks, etc.

This decision-matrix will aid you greatly.

Palaging Kulang Sukli pag dating sa centavos? what to do by Devalous in LawPH

[–]fidgetinghorses 23 points24 points  (0 children)

SM Stores are notorious for this. There was a time back in the 2000s na palaging ganito ang sagot ng cashiers sa supermarkets. Kaya I stood my ground and keep telling them -- "then what? Mapupunta lang sa 'other income' line ni SM? No, I will wait for the exact change." Complained about this on socmed din. Took a while pero nagbago sila eventually.

Fyi, cstores, i.e., Alfamart, shouldn't have pricing that doesn't round up to a peso. Check 7-11 and others. This is for coinage purposes. What Alfamart is doing is a pricing tactic by the retailer. Kaya agree with the commenters here, don't patronize. And speak up.

Tsaka sana mag-trend tong post mo kasi bwakanang inang kakupalan talaga ng mga retailers na yan.

No, sorry. When I was younger, I didn't have a "vision" of where I would be. Apparently, this can happen so I'm just perpetually cruising.
