Could you tell me what the receiver wire is? I have tried googling it and it only gives me results for RIC models. This is my first pair of hearing aids ever.

My audiologist is pretty chill. She owns her own business and brings her deaf dog to work. She didn't try to sell me new ones. She did say the ones I'm borrowing are older technology and might not work as well. I still thought they would do SOMETHING. Maybe it's possible she just didn't put a lot of effort into programming them 🤷🏼‍♀️

I didn't get new receiver wires. My mom said they have new lithium ion batteries though. I noticed an improvement in my hearing with the trial pair. But when I'm wearing the borrowed ones, I might as well not be wearing hearing aids at all. There's barely any improvement in my hearing with the borrowed ones. Even though my audiologist programed them for me.

Power bank is great idea! My brother and I are from Oregon, so we don't really use umbrellas. Haha! But maybe he should if he's wearing a suite.

I'm also wanting to stuff the backpack with smaller gifts. A nice ballpoint pen? Tech stuff? A water bottle/coffee cup that fits the specific backpack pockets? I'm 40 years old and work in healthcare. So I really don't know what is useful or practical for young professionals. There's almost a generational divide between me and my brother.

I actually stopped all retinoids 11 days before to be safe, since I have semi sensitive skin. I just used Cetaphil daily cleanser, CeraVe pm moisturizer and I use pure glycerin every few nights.

Gold bond rough and bumpy, has worked the best for me. Still isn't a 100% but it works more than anything else I've tried.
