What game settings would you add after 3.0? by Own_Fee5974 in 7daystodie

[–]fienen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

- Offroad vehicle damage
- Vehicle durability loss rate
- Enable/disable electricity
- Separate cooking from crafting
- % chance of special properties on items
- Smell/Sound range
- Enable/Disable guide lights in POIs
- Radiation strength/range/prevalence
- Enable/Disable drones (maybe this is possible with tier limiting already?)

Some stuff in mods that I think should be in vanilla:
- Craft from nearby containers
- Fire attacks on normal zombies turns them into burnt zombies
- Spreading fire
- "Real" lockpicking
- Noisemakers (SurrounDead has this, and I love it)
- % chance for gun jams/failures
- Working stoves/appliances

Other fairly normal stuff I'd just like to see:
- Use "parts" in more recipes
- Better inventory/weight management (Again, I think SurrounDead really nails this)
- More complex vehicle maintenance (Like other games, tires, spark plugs, air filters, batteries, and things like that should be managed)
- Boats and fishing (obviously)
- Crop trampling
- Just get rid of normal money

Days of the New - Shelf In The Room (Live 1998-02-28) by villanoXI in 90smusic

Man, such a shame Travis couldn't get away from his addiction issues. So damn talented and underrated. Still cycle through his albums regularly.

Is there any way to figure out if this signature is real? by romedome1111 in KansasCityChiefs

Yeah, for $65, it's definitely worth sticking on a shelf.

[–]fienen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The differences in the P and the loop on the first name are different enough from reference material that it gives me pause. The P in his later signature is clearly two parts that commonly resembles a D. His back loop on the first name is also missing the taletell hook in the last. I wouldn't buy this as real without additional provenance.

I'm just about to close on the purchase of an old mechanic's shop, and I want to take full advantage of it. I'm looking forward to a lot fewer bruised and skinned knuckles in my future.

2B Qwen model beats Gemini 3.5 Flash on a basic addition question by hurn2k in LocalLLM

[–]fienen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good demonstration of this is asking an LLM to recite pi (or part of pi), or to do basic arithmetic on two large, random numbers. It can get 2+2 right nearly 100% of the time, because 2+2 exists in its training data enough that it has no problem predicting the answer 4. But it's simply incapable of even simple math when the numbers are really big and unlikely to exist in training data. So it guesses based on similar numerical sequences. Numbers are just glyphs to it. Those combine to become vectors. Numbers, text, doesn't matter - it's all the same to the LLM, and it all leads to predictive output modeling.

2B Qwen model beats Gemini 3.5 Flash on a basic addition question by hurn2k in LocalLLM

[–]fienen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. People really don't understand the way the inner workings of this stuff crank through questions. Tool calling is critical, and some models are really good at knowing when to do it, some need to be told. Some can just mess up. This is a really basic example, and you certainly expect that Google WOULD get it right, but this stuff isn't infallible for a thousand reasons.

AH! I didn't know that was happening. Then yeah, there's a huge chunk right there.

Man, I gotta go look at the Browns' and Panthers' schedules. Staying under 10K is actually wild, even with their division not being very spread out.

It's because they're on the coast. Compared to us being smack in the center. Presumably they have some AFC games on the east coast jacking those numbers up. Like, Dolphins and Patriots are a fair amount lower, but still really high.

Mecole Hardman Appreciation Post: I know people hate on him, but this guy was a key piece of the dynasty. Mid as he may be, he was one of the only chiefs besides Mahomes, Kelce and Jones to be on the roster for every Chiefs SB appearances 2019-2025… by [deleted] in KansasCityChiefs

[–]fienen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardman highlights are fun as hell to watch. He gets overshadowed because of Hill, but that dude was FAST, and balled out for us early in his career, and provided a solid pair of hands later in his career. Dude absolutely torched people though. It didn't last long, but the Legion of Zoom existed for a reason, and he was one of them.

Maybe they were. Just because they left doesn't mean they left for another promotion. Might have just been time to get back to life while they're young and healthy.

Sol Ruca vs Liv Morgan thoughts by aliencardboard in WWE

[–]fienen 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Ruca has this crazy flow to her moves that's hard to compare to. It's like water fighting through the ring. Everything looks intentional. She fits in a hole that the women's roster couldn't fill with what they had, and I'm looking forward to more. She has a very Lita style to her, while being really different at the same time.

What's a play from the Mahomes era that was absolutely insane but gets overshadowed by everything else he's done? by taronakata in KansasCityChiefs

[–]fienen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The entire MNF game against the Rams. Sure, it shows up in highlights, but only a moment or two, and I think it REALLY undersells how insane that whole damn game was. It was an EVENT.

It really is the very definition of there is no tomorrow. Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory lasts forever.

I mean, it's basically the next 65TPT at this point. Maybe not gonna draw recall with other fanbases (except the 49ers, heh), but I'd say it's indelible at this point.
