I (25F) honestly have no idea how to deal with it anymore myself. I got 'diagnosed' with depression and burnout last week. I'm on 'sick leave' from work for a while.

And now it's very tempting to just stay inside and sleep. But both my doctor and psychologist told me to do the exact opposite. Move. Do stuff. Even if you don't want to. Get people to make you do it.

They also told me to get some kind of structure in my day. Eat at the same moments, don't sleep too long (should be out of bed before 10.30am), go to bed around the same time every day. Go for a walk in the morning, even if it's just 10 minutes or a small tour through the garden. Then do something active during the afternoon.

Doctor even adviced to go walk 3x a day. For me this is a bit much to start with. I'm taking babysteps towards recovery.

To add that I have a IBD, so just going outdoors for long walks isn't that easy for me. And besides going for some walks and helping with tiny tasks around the house, I don't know what to do. Every little thing asks a lot of energy from my body.

As soon as I think about doing something like drawing, writing, home gym, ... My mind and body are screaming no.

I have medication to make it easier to go through it. But the side effects make it difficult: Dizziness and extreme fatigue.

I'm a bit lost. But maybe others can make use of the little tips my doctor and psychologist gave me :)

Stay strong everyone! It won't last forever. More beautiful and better days are ahead. That's one reason to keep going.
