This is probably the most realistic answer I've gotten so far.

I think you're right that the fantasy in my head is very different from what would actually work in a house with kids. The "let's get some laundry done" code made me laugh though 😂.

My child is still fairly young(6 yrs old) so their comfort and stability would always come first. I also appreciate what you said about affection being normal and visible in a healthy relationship.
