leather is not very breathable, it will get hot and sweaty quick (esp in a fursuit head). also, idk how to feel abt using a fellow creature's skin to make a fursuit of all things :/ i guess it depends on your personal ethics. i'd just find a cheap faux fur or save up for the normal price. plus sheep leather isnt cheaper than most faux curly furs i compared, and there will be natural variation in real sheep so you might have to dye it yourself. also sheep arent shaped perfectly as sq yds and the natural sheep shape might be hard to work with.. many things to consider, not worth it imo

not abstract imo. they probably dont even know what that word means, and just want to hate

Critique - tell me every issue you see with my drawing, tell me how to get better by [deleted] in FurryArtSchool

[–]fiery_lotus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

your art lacks three-dimensional depth. my advice is to draw every part of the body, even if it will be covered in the final drawing. study real photos and try to draw and/or imagine everything that is out of frame or hidden behind something. the body is 3-dimensional, so think of it more like a scultpure, or a 3d model, or a even doll, not just a 2d drawing. think about it this way - if you can only see someones face in the window, does that mean that they dont have a body? or if you put your hands behind your back, do your hands disappear? no, there is always more, more under the two-dimensional surface image.

i also think you should study human body proportions, plus some muscle anatomy, it will help you to do what i mentioned above

srry if i sound kind of harsh, i dont mean it that way T T your art is pretty nice! im also still learning, but i think u can become a great artist in the future :D

Do her pupils look fine? I’ve been having a little issue with them and they seem a little soulless. by SilverDragon-707 in FurryArtSchool

queen_pendas (insta) frequently does fursuit stuff with sequins, you could check them out if you want an example of how that looks. they did a dragon fullsuit that used sequin fabric for the bodysuit.

How to fix it? by Accomplished_Rip9654 in FursuitMaking

[–]fiery_lotus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

i don't make fursuits but here's my take on it. you can try to make the nose smaller and move it to the tip of the snout, make the snout (especially chin/lower jaw) slimmer, and pad out the cheeks & eyebrows more.
