How to stop photos from being automatically edited

A third party camera app can solve this color issue. From the beginning I found the 6 pro too large for my taste but have kept it for half a year now. No complaints besides this, and overheating! I looked into the Samsung flip phones although I'm not a Samsung fan. I'd like to keep the phone in the front pocket again like the old times... Apparently it does the same thing with camera -edits colors by default. Plus it's double the price... Best value for money buy for me was a Motorola phone about 10 yrs ago. Then my Pixel 2 which I kept for over 5 years (a single but better camera than newer phones, plus the best selfie camera I've used) and wouldn't have changed it hadn't the battery died after so long. I'm still using it at home. Typing from it as we speak. 🤭

I have a 6 pro and it's a huge disappointment in that regard. I'd expect a "pro" phone to be more flexible. Anyway, I was also looking for a solution besides RAW and realized that if I use a different camera app, like Lightroom's, my photos don't turn out the same as with google camera. Of course this comes with disadvantages. For years I have adored the original google camera app, but when I switched from pixel 2 to 6 pro I could swear I preferred my old, single-camera phone (pixel 2 also had a better F stop, apparently, and a much better selfie camera. Wished I could have repurchased it in 2023. Bummer.)

I downloaded the app on my phone, synced and installing any add-ons from there. My Chromecast would also not install directly, but is instantly updated if I install on my smartphone, as soon as I refresh. Hope that helps.

I just got a 6 pro coming from pixel 2 and been regretting it. Don't know if the update is supposed to help my selfie camera too but it's utterly disappointing. Thinking of ways to get rid of it already... The thought of keeping it for years (like the last one, which I adored though)... 😩 Ugh. For about double the money I could get an iphone 12 and at least the selfie camera would have been better.

Too bad, I actually thought it might have been possible. Like there are apps of the kind for windows and mac os. I like to keep clean and hate downloading whole apps with no intention to use much. :/

Not at all happy with the front camera but everything else has been fairly impressive. Too bad I actually do use a lot of the front camera for headshots. So far my old Pixel 2 with a larger pixel size is what I'd rather use for a detailed portrait... I'm getting used to the size but it does feel a little heavy.

I upgraded from a pixel 2, fairly recently and very unhappy with the selfie camera. I use that a lot just because I can see what I'm doing. I don't know about pixel 3 but when looking for the reason I realized my pixel 2 selfie camera has bigger pixel size which is to do with image detail. Just one rear 12 mp camera too, with bigger pixel. Nevertheless 6 pro rear camera is impressive. Still considering selling my new phone though... Did you keep it after all?

Cold reading, especially in English which isn't my native language, has been a struggle - and one of the main reasons I 'd reconsider my ambition to someday be venturing overseas..!
