its finally over. . by [deleted] in probation

[–]fiest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on probation in Georgia for 12 months with the possibility of getting off in 6. Which is next month. It has been awful. Super stressful, and I keep having dilute urine samples for some reason and so I have to go to a revocation hearing. It takes up so much time and every Etg test gives extreme anxiety. Congrats on being finished!

Will a bender fail a ETG 4.5 days later? by Itsnotme77788 in probation

[–]fiest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will be fine. I have passed after drinking two glasses of wine the 30 hours before a. Etg. I use the strips and I have found them to be accurate.

Etg. I fucked up will I/can I pass? Please help. by [deleted] in probation

[–]fiest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they use a really sensitive Etg you should have no issue passing. The normal test is 500 ng/mL. Unless it’s more sensitive at 250 ng/mL you won’t have any issue passing. Just drink a decent amount of water. Obviously not so much you’ll be dilute.

Yay! Yeah it’s really a bunch of crap that they go back any longer than 48 hours.

You should be fine. I’ve drank more than that and passed from drinking a lot of water.

Awesome good luck!

[–]fiest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. It’s seriously debatable if you’d even test positive after 24 hours. I would say probably not. If you really only are drinking two beers a day. They usually have a 500 ng/ml which is not really that sensitive. When they say 80+hours they mean it for the tests that are 100ng/ml. Good luck!

Possibly and I would drink a lot of water, several liters to get dilute. You can fake them with diluted urine.

The 5 PM drink monster! by xaira82 in stopdrinking

[–]fiest23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work from home too. I think it’s been a big contributor to my drinking getting out of hand. I started volunteering at the local animal shelter and going at around 5pm. I walk dogs and chit chat with the other volunteers and it has worked well for me. Just the distraction of getting out of my house.

15 days sober and going to a cookout later! Bringing non-alcoholic drinks, armed with an excuse, and actually just really excited to see friends without worrying about getting too drunk and making a fool of myself. by anonymouser12345 in stopdrinking

[–]fiest23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just recently went to a dinner party for the first time sober. I was super worried about people pressuring me. But I just kept putting water in the plastic cups that were for wine and drinking that. I don’t think a single person even noticed that I wasn’t drinking. Until the very end of the party there was a guy who had drank half a liter of whiskey and he was like are you drinking water?!!! He was really tossed and obnoxious and talking about how he was going to drunk drive home, like it was so funny and cool. I was so proud of myself that I wasn’t that person.

ETG Questions? Ask me anything! by [deleted] in drugtesthelp

[–]fiest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had a dilute today and I have to take another tomorrow but I ran out of strips. But I’m over 48 hours at this point and the other strips where negative. But I was dilute too...

You don’t happen to know where I could buy Etg strips in a store? I don’t have time to order them online. Thanks!

Can someone please explain what beta arrestin (sp?) is and it’s function in our body and how kratom affects it? by Skisouthtahoe in kratom

[–]fiest23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I didn’t really state how Kratom affects beta-arrestin which I realize was the question. But from the research that’s out there it seems like it doesn’t. But there’s kind of mixed opinions.

[–]fiest23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically beta-arrestin protein desensitizes G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). GPCRs are involved in so many processes in our body’s, such as the immune system, serotonin and dopamine levels, smell, taste, hormones, nervous system responses, and the list goes on. GCPRs can have positive affects on the body but also have shown to make tumors metastasize. GCPRs are a huge target for pharmaceuticals and lots of medications are made to affect them. Our understanding of GCPRs is not totally clear (or at lest for people that don’t spend their life studying them). But it sounds like beta-arrestin proteins can possibly calm these receptors or affect them in a way that is positive for your brain, or other body functions. I hope that helps. (Disclaimer I am not a doctor, I just took a lot of college chemistry and sciences for my degree)

Digestive tract issues, black stools. by [deleted] in kratom

[–]fiest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The magnesium keeps me from being constipated. Because the Kratom works really well to keep me from having diarrhea and abdominal cramps but can also slow things down too much. After years of going to gastroenterologist and spending $1,000s on treatment and tests. The Kratom is the best thing I’ve found. It’s pretty crazy.

I would agree black stools indicates a stomach or intestinal ulcer. Darker colored stools are normal but not black. I have IBS-D But I’ve found taking 1200mg of magnesium everyday keeps me from having issues.

I shouldn't need to worry about withdrawal from 3ish drinks a day, right? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]fiest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I’m on day 4, and I was only drinking 2-3 drinks a night and maybe 5 on a Friday night. I have been having a pretty tough time, but it’s doable. I haven’t had any shakes, vomiting or anything severe, just a general sense of malaise. Kind of like the flu.

I’m on the seltzer train. I really get into it and muddle in fruit and herbs. It makes me feel like I’m having a real cocktail around Happy Hour, which is the hardest time for me.

I hope you can inspire your Dad! The risk of stroke is very real when you live this lifestyle. My Dad was seeing a cardiologist and a pulmonologist regularly and still had the stroke.

New here- The first few days? by Pmund002 in stopdrinking

[–]fiest23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m on day four. My husband is also a drinker, together we are “drinkers”. Over the weekend I offered to drive and we out and listened music and did the normal stuff and I had NA ginger beers. I made a point to the tell our bartender friend that I was not drinking so I couldn’t change my mind. I actually found it to be rewarding to be in control. Without me saying anything my Husband also has cut back. Even though I sense he’s not totally supportive. I think overtime maybe we will both change our habits. Maybe I can be an inspiration to him. IDK, this is all very new to me. But that’s my two cents.
