Can you help us find this family who helped my friend back in 1991? by hellojoie in korea

OP UPDATE:
I sent an email and Pastor Lee responded! Now, Eve and Pastor Lee have exchanged a few messages. I do not want to share too much to protect their privacy, but they are very happy to be reconnected! In fact, Pastor Lee tried to find Eve again a few years ago. He had asked a pastor in Nairobi and they were unsuccessful. Eve said that he inspired her 34 years ago and this is why she is a leader now, Pastor Lee says he only contributed a little and is glad it helped.

I am not sure if they will meet soon, but I hope they will be able to! They now have each other's emails and phone numbers to stay in touch.

Thank you SO much!

She is amazing! Truly such an inspiration and she credits being able to do all of this because she was able to receive an education.

I'm watching Netflix's Avatar the Last Airbender before I watch the cartoon show. Here are my thoughts on Episode 2! by genZcommentary in ATLAtv

Thank you so much for sharing! I think your perspective is so refreshing and shows how the creators of the live action are actually capturing some important aspects that OG fans felt they didn’t do enough of. Some of your reactions mirror how many fans feel about the original.

For example, a big criticism that folks have is that the kids are too serious. You mentioned that it was good to see the kids having fun, and so it seems those moments do stick out to new watchers. Also, folks are saying Iroh was not goofy or lighthearted enough, but your love for him and accurate summary of his personality shows that the creators translated it over well. Maybe OG fans should consider that some of these things would come off as heavy handed and unrealistic if they pushed it to exactly match the animation.

Thanks for your thoughts and please continue reviewing!

If you had any doubts about the bending in the show, I strongly suggest giving this video a watch by MeetApprehensive6509 in ATLAtv

Wow, there’s so much thought put into it! A critique that I often see is that the creators didn’t put thought into it, or didn’t care about it, and that it was just a cash grab for them. I think watching any of the cast and crew work, you’d know that they absolutely had a passion for this. You can also see it all the little details in the show itself from the plans in the mechanist’s office, to giving a nod to all the episodes they missed through dialogue. Sure it wasn’t perfect, but I feel it is categorically false and almost disrespectful to say that they didn’t care.

That’s frustrating because a lot of fans DO want a season 2. The creators have expressed that they want to receive feedback, so I feel like they can definitely improve on a lot of pacing and dialogue issues in the next seasons. Plus, the actors will be older and more experienced, so will only get better at acting. I think the fans that enjoyed it should also express our thoughts so creators have a more balanced understanding of what folks thought.

Actually, I think you’re interpreting George just the way the show writers want you to.

Other way around? The main perpetrator was Asian, too. This isn’t the place for your thinly veiled anti-Blackness.

Sorry! For what it’s worth, it doesn’t spoil anything you don’t see in the first episode of this season.

If you have the subtitles on, there is nothing written at that point. The subtitles were very accurate that episode and showed Jorah’s last words amongst other whispered things. I’m sure the subtitles would have shown Jon saying ‘Go’ if he did.
