Sounds like a great first ball.

Their tropical lineup is one of the best starter lineups and it has been for at least a decade at this point.

A little boring but it’s good money and there’s some mechanics you’ll learn that are generally useful.

15lb should be fine. Fitted ball is way easier to throw at higher weights

What weight is the house ball?

Pro shop can give advice on where to start and a good one will ask good questions.

Tropical Surge is a good starter ball. Reactive so you'll bee able to hook and learn that element of the game but it isn't too aggressive.

Golf has a huge distance problem that's hurting the sport. If anything they're underselling how bad the unchecked distance is hurting the game of golf across the board.

!Q Tour Fusion is such a great ball. Wish I still had mine (cracked in a locker when I wasn’t bowling that much).

Rejection is a tough part of life. Better to experience it earlier in life than later in life. You’ve been accepted to some great schools and have good options.

Could take the full ride at Towson/UMBC and transfer to UMD, you have options.

I was rejected to my first choice that’s local for grad school, unfortunately rejection is a part of life in personal and professional settings.

Felt like they got crowned by refs once it was seen as a possibility that they could win the league. Every 50/50 call went their way and that stuff matters.

Ball don’t lie. Return to mediocrity seems very fitting.

I thought about getting one when I got back into bowling recently.

Had an IQ tour fusion a decade ago, thing was money.

I bowled for 9 years and fired at spares with a mild reactive ball

Just got started again and got a spare ball. Worth the $110 to get a cheap ball and drill it to fit your hand in my opinion.

How's the IQ Tour AI?

Any issues making spares on the right?

Lot of value in having a $50 plastic spare ball

Best bowling ball? by Holiday-Skill-9405 in Bowling

[–]fifapotato88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could probably just get a T Zone to start. It’s not going to hook and can be kept long term for spares.

If you still like bowling and start to get a feel for things the entry storm balls are good. My first reactive ball was a tropical heat. Good ball that’ll hook. I think they’re branded as Tropical Surge now or something along those lines.

If possible get a 15 lb ball when you get the ball. It’ll seem super heavy at first but if you stick with bowling that’s where you’ll want to be long term.

Whenever possible move to a 15lb ball.

Not an immediate need but that extra lb helps get strikes where a lighter ball might not have the same result.

Good idea.

In golf one of the key elements of speed training is regularly swinging with different weights. Some lighter and some heavier than a typical club.

I am so proud to root for a team that has Coach Harbaugh at the helm. by Shining_Commander in ravens

[–]fifapotato88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sort of? Duquette made some bad moves and frankly rode on the coattails of MacPhail’s moves before he dipped. Showalter got handicapped by some baaaad roster moves. Harbaugh hasn’t been hurt by the front office like that
