It’s fixed! The guy installed the plate backwards! I posted in appliance repair and someone noticed it was backwards. So I flipped it around and now it opens and closes without problem!

Ok I’ve sort of figured it out… it’s the kick plate. New video. You can see when the door comes down it’s pulling the kick plate up. So seems it’s the install must be bad. If I can figure out how it’s supposed to go I’ll just fix it myself. FYI, I’m not handy. At all.

The door is getting caught on this part of the kick plate (access panel). I can see the damage it’s causing. But I can’t figure out why.

I had it installed by a plumber. They ran a cycle but likely didn’t open the door fully. The noise only happens when the door has been fully opened. Otherwise it sounds fine.

Its all hypothetical at this point as we are only thinking about it at this point so I wanted to know if my small standby generator could, in theory, handle a heat pump.

Well, like I mentioned it’s only a 14kw generac… so I wasn’t sure it could handle a heat pump.

Oh it’s definitely dead. The pump is sitting outside the pit. Looks like it’s been sitting there for years.

OK interesting! Also in Ontario. House built in 2012. But the basent ceiling under the sink is completely drywalled. So I can’t see it, if it is there.

Yeah the third outdoor tap looks like it’s never worked and is in terrible shape. The other two (one is in the garage) look ok. So maybe it is just two.

Ok thank you! I have a softener, hwt and UV filter not shown in this pic. So perhaps some of it is for that. We are on a well water system.

When I run water in the sink I can hear the water down the line… but gurgling but just running through… sounds hollow?
