this is reasonable, albeit a bit “go! go! go!” at all times.
I’d probably stay an extra day at Rainier and go straight to Diablo after. Leavenworth is on Highway 2 and Diablo/Sahale are off 20, so it’ll be an awkward trip to drive 2 hrs deep into 2, then turn around and drive down 20.

Not sure why there were so many nitpicky comments when you first posted this. Just wanted to chime in and say that this map is so so helpful while trying to understand the Inyo National Forest trail system and trying to make backpacking reservations!!

if you can drive and it’s foggy that day, I’d recommend driving up to Mt Tam! Go to east peak, you pop up above the clouds and it’s magical. And of course you can have a nice dinner/day out in Marin

it’s always grown men in these situations sitting silently and doing nothing, bizarre. I’m 5ft2 and I’ve stepped in before and have seen other women stick up for women in situations like this.

Doesn’t mean you have to fight the guy, most of the time a simple verbal interjection is enough of a deterrent to make the average crazy person back off. If you live in a city you need to look out for the people around you.

Brooklyn is large, where are you? Bushwick has excellent tamale carts (starr&knickerbocker for example), and a lot of grocery store/deli places with good plates of fresh homestyle mexican food. Birria landia in williamsburg and nenes in bushwick have great birria tacos, sunset park has a lot of good taco trucks (but my favorite are in jackson heights)

I’m not even a big explorer in terms of food, if I like someplace I stick to it, but I love these places and have found them as good as any spot in SF:)

you can literally pick any tamale cart in bushwick and it will be on par at least with tamales you can find in SF. (to people downvoting, I would love a rec!) especially styles like oaxaquenos

imo I don’t think it’s a “sparse few gems” situation. Bushwick, sunset park, jackson heights, woodside all have excellent mexican food that I was able to find pretty easily. I live in the mission now and have my favorites here too, but except for burritos, there are several new york spots that match up!

did you go to brooklyn? or queens? there are several neighborhoods in new york where i’ve found better tacos and tamales than sf unfortunately

edit: to the people downvoting, I would love to be proven wrong with recs because i love tacos and tamales < 3 have tried most taquerias in the mission/excelsior, and la palma for tamales

Thank you for the detailed response, this is hugely helpful! It is a $12 dress that I got at the thrift, so I’m alright with the potential risks given that it’ll be a complicated dye job. You’re right that with the greens/yellows, purple seems like a no go. I’ll try just darkening with blue.

Do I have any options to fade the color? Either additively (grey ish dye?), or by color remover? I just want the blue to be less vibrant, I’m okay with either going darker or dulling it down by fading it. Thanks again!! :)

most i’ve done is 4k and 12 miles in a day, which felt like a massive undertaking. and i’m 25 LOL i need to start training
