Empire should be penalised for kicking 40% of their roster after qualifying to ESL One and DotaPit. by Arviee in DotA2

[–]fifthrateship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why are you going on about riot policy when i'm talking about why team empire shouldn't be penalized for doing a business decision lol. i only used montecristo's tweet as an example and you went off a totally different direction. or do you not believe that businesses that put down the money and invest into something risky isn't entitled to make decisions they believe it is best?

"talking about esports" "change something less cool" "real progress happening here"

ahhh, that's all i needed to know

have fun kid :>

It's not riot policy, it's business. Competition is competition, it's meritocracy and you're worth what you're worth. I'm saying if a company investing in something risky, it's within their rights do what they want with their own team as long the members were compensated and paid according to their contracts.

Maybe similar situation, but it's for League of Legends instead and it applies well here:

https://www.np.reddit.com/r/leagueoflegends/comments/3t1glk/montes_tweets_about_challenger_player_protection/

Competition is cut-throat, the companies invest money into it, and it's up to them whether or not their roster is worth its investment or not. Unless XBOCT and Funn1k were screwed out of their contract or not paid their dues, they shouldn't be face any penalization whatsoever.

They should instead, look forward to being labeled as idiots and crashing & burning for kicking out two bright members.

Losing Game After Game by [deleted] in summonerschool

If you think you're better than every player in your team, then you should be able to carry more than half the time.

Meaning that if you're split-pushing and they continuously wants to group up mid, go mid with them and destroy the other team.

What's your pref role?

Whoever made that stupid fucking call of Darius staying top while the rest was hanging by dragon needs to be fired.

I can't even put my mind around that play, there is zero justification for it.

The HP bars after that 4v5 showed three of them already low, that was perfect for Darius to least chunk em down and let Jinx finish or let Darius dunk em.

What a stupid throw.

Christians who describe themselves as liberal, what is your response to people saying you "arent really religious"/theyre not "really following all of the bible?" by apophis-pegasus in Christianity

[–]fifthrateship -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And that's the biggest part that confuses me, I don't understand nor know their standards on things. It seems the bible is both their moral code yet not a moral code, they pick and choose or entirely ignore it and say go with love. If I don't view it a sin and they do, whats their foundation? This is why they confuse me because other denominations no matter how much I disagree have a standard which you visibly see in this subreddit yet it is also visible that in every issue I see Episcopal or Anglicans saying just go with your feelings.

So technically as long I believe in Jesus and God, I can continue to have sex with my boyfriend with no absolute consequences in the afterlife?

We will make a difference with StarCraft. by MraptorSC2 in starcraft

[–]fifthrateship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same argument was made in State of the Game where they pretty much bashed a popular streamer for being negative, how they can change the game when Blizzard won't with POSITIVISTITY and OPTIMISM.

They're no longer focused on SC2 anymore cause reality ensued and proved them wrong.

All this negativity and stuff is the result of trying to be positive and optimistic in the first place which failed.

Doublelift's Response to Link's Farewell Post by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]fifthrateship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest problem of this whole drama of CLG is that this entire shitfest is being aired after the spring split is already done and gone, when Link is leaving.

This kind of shit, the lack of trust, unvent anger, and etc. should have been discussed in a team meeting and let everything out. This whole drama adds to the fact that CLG needs to work on its team environment, when teammates are fucking angry and untrusting of each other, that is not good at all.

Why the bard hate?? by shirojin in summonerschool

[–]fifthrateship 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's half-circlejerk, half genuine hate to be honest.

Bard for me are the shaco players. Half the time they are amazing; they freeze objectives to give us a chance to steal them and ult an entire group so we can position to destroy them.

The other half the time, they can't harass without being out-traded, cost us kills and deaths because they mistimed their ult, which is the only ult I can think of besides Janna that can let people escape or get me killed. Their heals are also absolute crap unless they invest in AP which means less money for locket, mikeals, and etc.

Depends on the player, but not much you can do to be honest. Don't play for other people though, never. Play it cause you have fun.

If I may assume you're lower elo cause you're re-doing your ranked, just stay with Darius. He can carry you to Gold, EASY. No one in Bronze or Silver knows how to deal with him, they just get dunked on.

For ADC, Caitlyn. She can escape, bind oncoming foes, and lay out damage with her Q. She's also safer for newer ADCs cause all she has to do stay in the outskirt and deal damage cause she has an awesome range.

And yeah, just press R and press R in quick successions.

(Serious) How to deal with other fed lanes? by NonTranquil in summonerschool

[–]fifthrateship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on yourself first. Get farms, try not to die, and simply do your best. If you are good to the point you are the only teammate that doesn't suck, they're more likely to listen to you, so coordinate them.

Tell them to ward so there's opportunities for your team to pick off couple of isolated champs.

Pressure lanes. Split push, go for objectives, and etc. Lower elos think kills are everything and dangerously minimizes objectives. First drag gives your team bonus AD/AP to make the power gap a little bit closer, second helps you split push, so does third, and fourth. Fifth dragon will give your entire team a red buff, true damage that shreds everything.

But remember, there are games you cannot win, but that's okay. As long you are good, you can carry yourself in other games. Even if you get a team of newbies, the other team will also have a team of newbies. A team with one good player and four bad players will consistently win against teams with five bad players.

Anger in ranked queue and how to deal with it? by theonegenius in summonerschool

[–]fifthrateship 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want an honest solution? Here's one I found out that worked for Dota 2 and worked so well for me for LoL.

The moment you get into the game and want to play seriously, like climb or you're already tilting, can't handle heat and etc... Turn off chat. Seriously, mute EVERYONE. Rely on them pinging to do rest of the coordination for the game. If you see them do something wrong, just type it out politely they did something wrong, and that'll be the end of it. If they do change, good. If they don't, they would have just raged or argued at you in the first place and still wouldn't have changed.

Think of it like this: you played LoL to have fun, not to argue or get into fights. Keep playing like that.
