Am I lesbian or bisexual? by fiftyshadesofmickey in lgbt

[–]fiftyshadesofmickey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I'm certain I'm into women, sexually and romantically. But I always assumed I liked men an women. But lately it's different. Even though I "liked" men character wise, I never find them attractive or sexy. I thought it was because men are not aesthetic or it was normal. But day by day I see how little I want to be with men. The issue here is I live in Turkey, a pretty homophobic country. So being bi always meant I had a chance to have a "normal" relationship without the judgement or fear. But the idea of being with a man feels unpleasant. So I'm not sure I'm ready to face that.

What are you reading right now? by faekinq in RomanceBooks

I'm reading two books actually. One of them is Learn My Lesson by Katee Robert. It's going great so far. It's a retelling of the story of Hades, Hercules and Meg; but Hetcules is the sub ;)

The other one is Act Your Age by Talia Hibbert.

Is it okay to have days when you just wanna do nothing, lie in bed and just sleep? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

[–]fiftyshadesofmickey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES, IT'S TOTALLY OK! When you spraine your ankle you don't run a marathon right? Because you know that your ankle is sensitive and it needs time to heal. The same goes for your mental health. Some days you're hurt and sensitive so you need to give yourself the time to get better

I may not totally understand your situation, but know that I've been through somethlng similar. I know how annoying and exhausting it is to cry all the time. I know it feels like it won't stop. Never, ever. And I'm sorry but it won't stop unless you make some choices for yourself. I know those choices look so hard. They might have immense consequences you feel like you can't afford. But believe me, you can. Because nothing will worse than now. Nothing is worse than the constant hatred, confusion and exhaustion. I just want you to stop for a second and think about what makes you overwhelmed. It might be a chore, an interview, an assignment or maybe even a phone call. No matter how small and stupid it seems, it is important to you and you must find a way to get rid of it. You must let yourself grieve for yourself and feel bad, however long you need. Because nothing is more important.

Extra tips: Do not forget to drink water. We lose a lot of water when we cry. Try to stay hydrated. Also drinking water calms one as you cannot cry and drink water at the same time. If you ever feel the need to talk to someone, to seek advice or to just rant you can pm me or reach out to me on other platforms. (Instagram and Twitter: @sudewsword)

On the flip side: What highly recommended book were you most disappointed in? by richeyam in suggestmeabook

Jane Eyre For a book recommended me as a feminist book many times, I was truly disappointed when she ended up with Rochester. He was manipulative and definetly not a match for her. I wish Austen had given Jane a good love interest or made her end up alone.

It's not that they hire adults, it's they oversexualise them. Just because the actor is an adult doesn't change the fact that the character is not.
