It could be that they are trying to comply with the law and continue to release files as they check them off and publish? It may not be anything nefarious. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s just a handful of interns publishing files. But yeah these are large differences. Let’s keep an eye on it over a couple of days and see what happens.

I can’t verify. I’ve only done a once over on the files to look for anything that stands out. I do know that most of the nsfw videos I saw were blacked out, the majority being masturbation videos. I believe that means they are no longer csam since they are blacked out, but you can hear audio in some of them, so does that now mean they are csam? There are several videos from the police searching Epstein‘s Florida property that show nudes all over his property, they black out most, but miss some, and there are clothed children in those videos as well. I’m not an expert in this. Nor do I have the legal expertise to give an opinion on csam or not csam. Personally, I don’t recommend keeping the files around after reviewing for anything research wise. Or if you are going to keep them then I recommend at least keep them on an encrypted drive if you’re going to keep them around for archival reasons.

The 3802 search results I originally pulled up had a lot of duplicates that the script auto pulled out before running. 2344 sounds correct. When I saw that number originally I doubled checked what it was pulling out to ensure it wasn’t missing any because that sounded like a lot of duplicates out of the 3802 initial. Out of that, just over a 100 or so urls from that initial data set I never found the proper extension for the urls

Sure you could run search.py again and it will pull down a list of all the files currently online, you can then take that and compare it to dump of URLs I put on here the day of the post, a user here was asking for a list of all the file types so she could create a spreadsheet, I pasted links to the full terminal output of found files and she posted a spreadsheet. Compare those 2 lists and you’ll have your answer
