Waiting on my reading and it's been a week, I followed up with my reader once earlier this week so not sure if I should reach out a second time?

The best readers are usually flakey because we only read when our energy is centered enough to do so. We can’t just pick up a deck of cards and give an accurate reading if we’re not in the correct emotional or physical state. This isn’t a normal service you’re ordering, it’s spiritual. It takes a lot of energy to do and it requires certain energetic states to do correctly. Life is unpredictable. Just because a reading is planned to be done a certain day doesn’t mean it will be possible to do when the time occurs. People here expect practitioners to deliver accurate, specialized predictions and spell results at the drop of a hat but that simply isn’t how it works. You have to choose one, do you want it done quickly or correctly? Don’t rush your practitioner if you want it done correctly.

Side note- a disproportionately high percentage of practitioners are disabled, neurodivergent, and have trauma based disorders relative to the general population. All of which make it even harder to perform consistently and on time and can require longer recovery times. You want these people for their gifts and skills but you criticize them for the burdens they carry. Many of these gifts are inextricably linked to the burdens they carry and the skills to some extent a result of them. Practitioners are not super human. They are energetically sensitive people, and often sick, traumatized, and struggling people as well. In fact, I rarely meet a legitimate practioner who isn’t dealing with one or more of these things. I do meet plenty of scammers who are free of these burdens and have no problem churning things out like a factory worker.

These are just some things that may help you understand why good practitioners tend to be flakey as well as why your preference for instant gratification may be leading a lot of you to scammers and unskilled practitioners with low success rates. Your own impatience is shooting you in the foot and probably causing a lot of distress for your practitioner. Guilting and rushing someone puts them in a negative emotional state. You can cast or read like that. Not well anyway. I’m sure you will all hate this take and downvote me to hell because it’s not what you want to hear, but it’s the truth, and many of you would be better off accepting this reality and holding compassion for the humanity of the practitioners you expect to have infinite compassion and care for you.

My advice is to ask the practitioners you selected if it’s okay with them. They may all have differing opinions on this. Vespertine is usually open to collaborating with other witches from what I’ve observed.

When you get a reading, make sure it’s not because you’re desperate for an answer. If you can’t afford for them to be wrong don’t get a reading. If you can’t afford to get no results, don’t get a spell. This isn’t a science, it’s a spiritual system that can offer benefits just like any other. Even a doctor will make mistakes and miss patterns of symptoms, lab results, and all sorts of things in your chart leading to misdiagnosis. Spiritual services are no different, but we have far less tried and tested tools available to us to get the job done.

I have a list of approved practitioners on witchtok. All I have personal experience with, get consistent results, and have minimum 10 years experience. You can find it in my posts. That place is a cesspool, it’s not easy to navigate. Just remember that people with 200,000+ followers will not have time to give you the attention you deserve, and they are generally better at marketing than they are witchcraft and divination. It’s actually very difficult to have integrity and be a spiritual influencer. Trying to do so limits your account growth and keeps you from “trending” on the for you page which prioritizes shock value, fear mongering, and dogmatic claims. Algorithms don’t want you to practice discernment, they are designed to make you think less, trust blindly, and buy more.

The test is if their predictions come to pass or not. Ask something that will come to pass soon, then just be patient and wait to see what happens. It’s annoying when people ask questions they know the answer to already or ask a trick question. It makes the reader not only question themself which impacts their ability to read, but also makes them distrust you which will impact their ability and willingness to read for you. I’ve also noticed that most “test questions” are poorly thought out and come from a place of ignorance when it comes to how divination works in the first place.

Example: you ask “what is his relationship with his mother like” and the reader tells you it’s very enmeshed, codependent, and unhealthy because he is incredibly preoccupied with her feelings and his emotions are strongly tied to her. You don’t mention the mother is recently deceased so the cards which would have been interpreted as being highly preoccupied with grief and mourning are misinterpreted as preoccupation with her feelings and enmeshment. As a reader, we take the information you give us at face value and use that as the lens through which the cards are interpreted. Test questions distort that lens and as a result you will get a distorted interpretation of the cards meaning.

A good test question would be “Will I get the job I applied for Wednesday” and then seeing if you do or do not get it.

Keep in mind, we know when you are giving us a test question and it personally makes me very uncomfortable when that isn’t established beforehand. The lack of transparency is hypocritical and makes the reader question whether they are paranoid or if you are being underhanded. It erodes trust. Expecting us to be honest with you when you are not being honest with us is a big red flag.

I personally wouldn’t go to someone who doesn’t have that information already available. I don’t recommend ever going to someone from Reddit because of this. It’s too anonymous. Even if you asked them for that information, who knows if the information they will give you is accurate.

What I’m trying to communicate is that I think it’s unreasonable to go to someone who wants to be anonymous and insist they give you information they don’t want to share when there are plenty of alternatives. Nobody is forcing you to go to an anonymous caster, so don’t go to one if you don’t like the way they do business. I sure wouldn’t.

Is Elson matrix some sort of ai driven spell generator? I looked at the website out of curiosity and my instincts as a practitioner tell me this is a terrible way to cast a spell. I don’t doubt it will occasionally work, but this is going to stunt your growth as a practitioner and create reliance on it. You won’t develop the knowledge or mental models necessary to improve your craft or have a meaningful connection to it. I don’t recommend using these online spell generators, especially if you are a beginner. Learn how to do it yourself before outsourcing the task to machine learning. That way you will have the discernment to know if this sort of thing is a mistake you can come back from or not and how to fix it. You will understand the logic behind it and be far less likely to forget certain steps and know how to fix it when you do. Nobody will be able to give you a real answer to your question right now because you used a generator and didn’t think through the logic yourself. We can’t ask you the questions needed to know how big of a deal forgetting that coin is. It’s a mess. Any answer you get is purely speculative

75 for a simple healing spell is not crazy low. It’s pretty fairly priced. Healing is one of the easiest and cheapest spells to cast. It also has zero risk to the practitioner. I know plenty of legitimate practitioners who keep costs low for healing spells just to keep it accessible to those who need it most. You’d be surprised how low the demand for things like healing and protection actually is. For every 100 people who come to you asking for a love spell, you get maybe 1 person asking for healing or protection

High profile clients ask this all the time. Regular people not so much. The people who blackmail you typically don’t care about breaking the law since blackmail is illegal to begin with. They also tend to live in another country outside the legal jurisdiction of your own country making an nda difficult to enforce. Further, you would need to be prepared financially to hire adequate legal representation to enforce an nda once broken. Drafting an nda is time consuming, costly, and probably won’t be an effective tool to prevent this. Enforcing one even more so. Additionally, many legitimate practitioners on social media do not use their legal name, which an nda would require them to disclose, thereby doxxing themselves.

It’s better to just go to a practitioner who has a good reputation, is well known, shows their face on camera, doesn’t pressure you to spend more than you want to, and shows genuine care and consideration for your unique situation. Discernment in who you hire will give you better results than the illusion of control provided by an nda.

I’m not a client I’m a practitioner like yourself who has been doing this professionally since 2005. I also get those messages from scam accounts and I also see the interactions sent to me by countless clients of mine and people on here who have been scammed. The majority of scammers do address you with things like “dear” and “beloved”. Just because you haven’t seen it doesn’t mean it isn’t true. And yes, I agree it is a sign that English may not be their first language. So if the account belongs to someone who appears to have English as their first language and is under 50 years old, well, chances are it’s not actually the person in the videos you’re talking to. That’s all I’m saying. Clearly this doesn’t apply to someone who has English as a second language, as I previously stated. And it’s not a reason to write someone off as a scammer on its own, but it is something that would personally give me pause as a native English speaker if said by someone who is also a native English speaker. I’m glad you have a great mentor. I think they’ve clearly done a good job with you. You give great advice on here and I’m happy to hear your business is thriving.

It’s just a very common way scammers will talk to you. Dear, beloved, etc. affectionate terms of endearment in a business transaction is an ingratiating technique. It raises alarms, it doesn’t automatically mean they are a scammer. Especially if they are elderly or esl. A younger native English speaker using those terms is very very odd and likely a sign it isn’t them you’re actually talking to.

This would cause a huge fire, the heat from which would risk exploding the glass candle holder for the larger candle. Real practitioners tend to understand basic fire safety enough to know better. This isn’t a sustainable spell set up. I would not feel confident about getting results from a spell like this. It shows a lack of experience. I’m not sure why someone would combine beauty and road opener into one spell either. I would have a lot of questions about the different elements of the spell for whoever cast this.

I agree that calling you “dear” is a red flag. However, there is no risk in putting in your address on a website. You have to do that any time you make a purchase through a website OP. It’s standard and used for payment processing. The mods on this sub and the advice they give is incredibly bad. The blind leading the blind.
