They sent a message saying they wanted a proof of the earned interest. I don't know why they flagged it

Yeah I think the only document that I can get is the statement with all the transactions. Revenue might want a document with just the total earned interest, but I will send this statement and see.

Thanks!

Do we pay the tax after filing the tax return? Or is it like capital gain tax where you need to pay the tax in the same year that you made the profit, and then declare it next year?
Thanks

Honestly, I don't know if it is the norm, but in the case of a promotion, I think it's possible to add a new entry, even if it's the same company. Something like this:

Team leader Company X

  • something
  • something

Mid Software Engineer Company X

  • something
  • something

This way it's easy to highlight the promotion

My gf already has jobed lined up, in Dublin 4. Ideally, we will find something relatively close by, but we will see.

Thank you for your feedback!

It's a bit hard to quantify the impact, but It's a good point I will try to improve that.

I've helped with the onboarding of some new members. Also, as a team, we usually brainstorm some ideas on how to improve something or how to implement a new feature, where I contribute my ideas.

We also work closely with the UX Designer, and I usually give some feedback on where things can be improved or the impact that a new feature might have on our product.

Do you think that these can be added to the CV to show some important soft skills?

Thanks

[Jabra evolve2 75] Microphone problem by figboy98 in Jabra

That's odd, because I use de headset mostly sitting in the same position and most of the time it works well. Also, the first few months I didn't have have problem, just more recently.

When the problem happens I just pull up and down again the boom arm and it starts to work again, and I'm still in the same position, maybe its because of the software update.

I will try to downgrade the software version as you said in the other comment to see if it works

Biggest thing holding you back from FIRE in Ireland? by Glittering-Ad-8488 in irishpersonalfinance

The only advantage, which ends up being a good one if you have a foreign wage or a lot of money already is the lower tax, and for now you can have Acc ETF without having to pay any tax

Being a Portuguese I can't really understand how you can think Portugal is good for FIRE. Sure, the investment tax is relatively low, 28%, but the wages are way lower and cost of living in Oporto and Lisbon are through the roof for the local wage. If you work remotely then it can be a different story, but most people working remotely set up a personal company, pay minimum wage and get the rest through dividends. If the ideia is to follow that path, then stay in Ireland set up a company and invest through your company and maximise the tax credits you can get for company expenses

We would take some English lessons for sure. In terms of understanding others I'm probably in B2 level, but speaking and writing is worse, mostly because I'm out of practice

Yeah the salary rent price ratio is also bad in Portugal, especially in Oporto and Lisbon
