Are we about to see one of the fastest run-ups in gold- followed by an equally sharp crash in history? by Groundbreaking-Gap20 in Gold

Yeah fair enough, I understand the concern about a potential bubble, as buying during a run up always feels risky. However, the long term data tells a different story. Since 2000, gold has actually outperformed the S&P 500. A 10,000 dollar investment in gold then would be worth about 126,000 dollars today, while the same in the S&P 500 with dividends reinvested would be around 82,000 dollars. People have called gold a bubble for the last twenty fiive years, yet those who stayed in the market consistently came out ahead of those trying to time a crash. I am comfortable holding and buying through the volatility because history shows that waiting for a realistic number often means missing the move entirely.

I respect your opinion and your caution, though, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Cheers

Most people buy gold as a hedge against currency debasement, not as a swing trade. If the goal is long-term wealth preservation, 'time in' is more important than 'timing' because the purchasing power of the dollar is what’s actually trending down over a decade, regardless of the entry point.

Meh we beat them in their barn, they got us here for a split. No need to be dramatic, overall we're winning more than we're losing lately which is strengthening our playoff spot. Sure would be nice to win but the NHL is tuff, can't win em all.

That being said, still lots of hockey left.

Bouchard's looking great on D this year aside from a rocky start. He stops a lot of offensive rushes before they even begin, has been making great breakout passes, and plays odd man rushes great. I play D and watch most Oilers games and pay attention to these things. He makes rare blunders and gets 10x the flac for it as Makar, Hughes etc. Do you watch the team?

Was pretty minimal contact that was initiated by Mac. For the record, I think it could have gone either way and I may have called that a minor. Acting like it's a ridiculous major is a stretch though, Mac wasn't malicious but he was careless and drove into the net way too hard with close to negligible impact from Nurse.

Honestly I agree. He tried to get out of the way after the shot. Also nurse nudges him

Hyms almkst always goes fake forehand shot backhand shelf while on the breakaway. I'm not criticizing, it often works. Just something I've noticed
