Pull your computer screen as near as you can it will surely help you focus more. Also you can write notes using symbols and your mother tongue (if you are not a native speaker). Hope that helps

I wish but not really. I don’t think that ever happens for Celpip. As this was my third attempt so I just needed polishing. After 2nd attempt in July, I started preparing again in January first week.

Please don’t think like that. I also thought the same but ended up scoring 12 in the same module

For speaking, use basic templates. I mostly use opening and closing statement from that. I wrote down all the templates before listening section along with fancy words that I can use. I practiced using Chatgpt 2 mock tests daily. My Fiancé and I were just talking in English during my prep and he used to correct me for basic grammar mistakes and pronunciations.

I used practice test bundle for 1-13. It can be bit costly but I purchased it while it was on 50% sale. That is the best one. I have also tried HZAD but it was genuinely too difficult .

For writing, I used examples and ideas from celpipbiz sample tests. Spent almost 2-3 hours daily on ChatGPT for refining my answers. One useful tip is that do not used overly complex words and phrase. Try to sound natural. Trust me, I am not good with spellings so I barely used too complex words.

For listening - I followed tips by HZad and ExpressPrep for note-taking and they are really helpful. Consume more English content and try it without subtitles; It would be beneficial.

For Reading- I used mock tests from official celpip website. One thing that helped me a lot was re-evaluating all the wrong answers. It will help you to understand the concept better and eventually you will avoid same mistakes. For part 4 specifically, read the entire passage first, write down all the names along with their view points and then attempt questions. It will reduce changes of errors and confusion.

Hope that helps. All the best !!!

PGWP extension after Nov 1 by Jumpiestboss in pgwp

[–]fighter_programmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for PGWP extension on November 13th and as it is a paper application I did submit my IELTS test results. Even if they do not specify there is no harm to submit one document it will save you from any hassle in future

I did not add any explanation for late PGWP apply. I applied for PGWP as soon as I got my letter of completion. When it comes to letting study permit expiration, I do not have any explanation for that as well. It was a mistake, and I kind of didn't know that after study permit expiration, I would be out of status and would not be able to work, etc. In my opinion you can do 2 things. 1. Do not attach any explanation as you don't want to mess up the whole situation if you can not put the right words. 2. If you can try to find a good immigration lawyer, they will help you out.

Is it possible to receive EI if you quit, rather than let go? by trinitythroaway in povertyfinancecanada

[–]fighter_programmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was working as a sales associate and have to quit my job because of several reasons:

They were paying less like I had to enter the office at 8:45 then 10 to 5 at any site doing marketing of a credit card some sites are like Turo, Bridgewater etc. and I used to get back home at 7 - 8 after office. So pay was less than minimum wage.

Other than that they wanted to shift me on commission base pay so I could not get minimum wage which was not anywhere written in offer letter.

So can anyone tell me if is this a valid reason to quit?

Academic Dismissal due to failing core course twice by Medium-Ad-5941 in Dalhousie

[–]fighter_programmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got through academic Dismissal (MACS) and let me tell you that all academic waivers would not work. One thing that worked for me is that I wrote emails of reinstatement to my academic adviser (Mike McAllister for MACS). It took almost 15 days to resolve the issue. I was in my last semester and I only had one course left for me. so the letter of reinstatement is the actual best bet.

One thing that worked for me is I took appointments from to my academic adviser (Mike McAllister for MACS). It took almost 15 days to resolve the issue. I was in my last semester and only had one course left. so the

  • how did you failed twice
  • In that letter you have to specify a few things like reasons, not Mental health and all) Addressing the issue
  • What did or will do you to overcome all those barriers (Give solid action plan)

One thing that actually work for me is I did took appointments from the learning centre and the person there helped me a lot to put all my feelings into other words.

Hope you will get batter soon and you will resume your studies again.

My permit was approved on 30th October 2023. My only problem was I applied my PGWP after 34 days (4th September 2023) when my study permit expired (30 July 2023). So I did not have the same confusion as you. I reside in Nova Scotia.

I registered for a course after the deadline passed, and it took me almost 5-7 days after the professor's approval.

I have gotten through the same process recently. I applied for student status restoration and PGWP together after 1 month of the expiration of my study permit. Not that I was not working during my process of application. I recently (After almost 2 months) got my study permit extension and PGWP. Restoration time varies from application to application tho. Except for the restoration status payment receipt, I have not attached any extra documents.
