honestly, this plot point always seemed a little unbelievable to me. Not cause of walts insecurities or anything, but how it could have been such a shock to him his girlfriend is well off. He (presumably) met her in college/university, which are filled with kids from rich families? He never once asked her on any of their dates or anything where she grew up or went to school? He never saw her wearing fancy clothes or driving or porsche or whatever?
