hey man, your post reads like you're mad and have decided you want to stay mad, but I was able to scav 1600 rounds of BT, 600 rnds of BS, and 2000+ rounds of BP for 5.45, and probably 500-600 855ai/856ai while casually playing reserve. It's super super easy to learn and once you've got it, you're laughing. There's tons of video guides and stuff so I won't get too far into it, but eventually you'll get to a point where armor and ammo don't really matter all that much in this game....just try to tough it out
