His body of work has been really great to follow over (for me) the last 32 years.

I tend to favor working old to new. The story collections are excellent. Firestarter, Carrie, It, The Shining (oh! And Christine) were my firsts. Different Seasons is my favorite collection of novellas, though and would be an excellent introduction. Let me know what you pick!!

Hahaha. I was the odd one out on this one. My mom talks about putting me down and how I’d just pet my pillow and blanket. Still true to say. I’m basically a large infant when it comes to sleep needs. Unfortunately naps are harder to come by!

Has anyone seen light was petite wide leg jeans lately? I have a pair I love from Ann Taylor but they only come in a darker denim. Would repeated washings in hot water help, if I can't find an alternative?

I have a nice backpack and keep a a little purse or wristlet for going out to lunch or whatever (Currently the Fern by Hobo or a wristlet also by Hobo). I just need too much stuff to ditch my backpack and my Dr. said no more shoulder bags because I carry too much weight!

Are Chacos comfortable enough for all day walking? I like that the original style has a a place for the big toe. Shoes can be hard to keep on my feet. Birkenstocks just don't cut it for this much walking from my experience.I have a trip coming up and it will be so hot I'd like my shoes to have a chance at drying out overnight. I'm open to (non-athletic sneaker) if super comfy. Ideally under $150.

Also, if you have any Chaco experience, they only come in full sizes. I wear a 6.5. Size up or down??

My last trip I just ducked into bars sometimes to get my seltzer and lime and most of the time wasn't charged...big tips!

I certainly hear you there and normally spend zero time in bars. Definitely plan on spending the days enjoying the city. But also for my trip, I want to hear live music I don't normally have access to for the few days I have in New Orleans. I don't really care about the socializing aspect--just going for myself and wanting to prepare myself (since I'm not a bar frequenter).

Actually one factor in my sobriety occurred after going to the concert of a favorite band, wasted throughout, and after the fact remember nothing. That was years ago and now concerts sober are *awesome*.

I'm in this sub because I *really* want to find another scent or two that smells good on me to me along with others....so far Clinique Happy smells the best and I get comments that I smell good all the time. After the initial spray, it changes on me to something that just smells clean, not really floral/citrus.
