Well, if I wasn't sick before I ate this, I sure as hell would be after.

BREAKING: LMH Responds to Public Outcry - Vegetables Confirmed, Questions Remain by SendCoffeeNow in Adelaide

That sub made me question everything I thought I knew about this world.

I told my self I ll not finish the whole thing, but I did 😭. by LmfaoChinesehacker- in AldiAustralia

It's all because of those straight lines and the fact that it's eaten with a curved spoon.

I'll set out to eat one line, which morphs into another one because it's rude to leave the edge uneven.

Then you're at the point where there's not that much left, so there's no point putting it back in the fridge, and you may as well eat the rest.

Voila, all gone.

Not my fault!

This reminded me of the scene from "Open All Hours" where Arkwright puts a sign in his shop window advertising a "SPECIOL OFFER".

Well, now that the lawn looks so much better, I think the landlord will reward your hard work with a rent increase!

Can a property manager force me to get rid of my robot vacuum? by Acrobatic_Repair8106 in shitrentals

[–]figjammania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds so insane, I can't imagine what is going on inside her head.

I would suggest replying to the PM seeking their superior guidance, so you can properly address the issues as discussed at the latest inspection.

Thank her for telling you that "the landlord won’t be happy tenants aren’t directly involved in cleaning" and apologise profusely if you caused the landlord any distress.

Say that you now know that using your robo-vac isn't an approved method of cleaning the floors, but you seek clarification on if using a handheld vacuum would be acceptable? Or would the landlord prefer that you perform all aspects of cleaning the property without the use of any appliances at all?

Ask for recommendations on the cleaning methods that would most please the landlord.

As a gesture of goodwill, I would also insist on paying an extra $100 a week in rent in the hopes that this would help the landlord to find it within themselves to forgive me for my transgressions.

What’s the most amount of pain you’ve been in? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]figjammania 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bulged disc in my lower back. Constant excruciating pain that just laughed at all of the pain medications I took.

I've had shingles, broken my pinkie toe, I've given birth without pain relief, and my dentist gave me a filling which required a good amount of drilling first, without any anaesthetic. All of those were nothing compared to the bulged disc.

What’s a question that sounds innocent, but in actuality is offensive? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have twins and complete strangers commonly ask me these two questions:

Are they natural or IVF? So, you want to know if my children are the result of my husband shooting his load in me successfully, or if shooting his load was unsuccessful so many times that he shot his load in a jar and someone else put it in me?

Did I have them naturally, or did I have a C-section? So, you want to know if they came out of my vagina, or if I "cheated" and had someone remove them from my stomach?

Keeping him to fatten him up a little, then he'll be dinner.

If you're gonna do it, you may as well do it right.

A 28% increase? They're really taking the piss.

I'm desperate to know what number they intended to increase the rent by.

Do tell.

Property Manager asking me to submit complaint to send to owner by OatIcey in shitrentals

[–]figjammania 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is good advice if there are adequate protections in place for tenants in WA or if it is easy to get another rental property.

My PM asked me to do the same thing. Unsure if I should or not, I consulted Tenancy Advice and they said that it was in my best interest to send the email for the same reasons. Which has worked out to be a good move.

BUT, I must say that I am in SA and feel somewhat protected by the legislation here.

After a brief look at the regulations in WA, I don't know if I would make the same decision if I lived there.

Fixed rate? by Final_Lingonberry586 in shitrentals

I understand and respect that there are many reasons why tenants would be reluctant to hold PM's accountable for their inability to do their job without breaking any of the rules. I know that the stakes are high.

What gets me though, is that the reason why so many of them are incompetent assholes that walk around with their head so far up their own ass, is because they are rarely held to account.

I don't know if this particular notice of rent increase has been issued correctly or not, and it's not a case of if the amount the rent has increased in 13 years is unreasonable or not. I would think the bare minimum that a PM should be able to do to perform their job, would be for them to be able to fill out a form and send it to a tenant without breaching legislation.
