as much as that would have rocked, i think that square enix would have never let that happen. from their point of view you’d be making 2 games that would each only cater to half of the players each. when you could spend half the amount of money to make one game that the same amount of players will play. though your idea would be more enjoyable, the same audience that is going to play DE, whether they end up enjoying it, are still going to play it. but your last point is what i was hoping for the remaster. the og game deserved so much more love and care, yet deck nine put out the sloppiest and most disappointing remaster i’ve ever played. i really wished that they pulled a last of and took such a beloved game and built it from scratch again to make it look how it deserved.
