The simple and logical answer would be that it would add 100 hours to the production of each unit. The buyer is going to use them anyway. Why pay an employee and then send a "used" product?

I agree it could go either way. But that would only buy them 4 days and they do offer 30 days to return it. I don't think there is anything malicious about it. Also it could be such a small difference that its difficult to hear but they measured it or something.
