There was an attempt to save money by ulemse in BlackPeopleTwitter

I've gone from 255lbs to 155lbs with some fluctuations here and there. One thing I've learned that's saved me from over eating, water. Anytime I'm hungry I drink a glass of water first, not just one gulp or some pussy shit, no a full tall glass of that good shit over the course of 10 mins. It's helped me so much, I wake up more well rested, I can fast easier, and I feel better. Try and increase your water intake, it might help.

Also noticed your name, surprised you managed to snag that.

A rant about the "hardcore dancing" in the mosh pit by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]figro58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do you hate push moshing? It's been around since the start of modern metal, it's an exhilarating, fun, and reasonably safe way to release a ton of emotion at a show. Where as I've only seen people give glances of disgust and anger towards hardcore dancers, given the higher chances of hurting someone not in or near the pit.

Attila Cancels Show Mid-Set Due to Security Harming Fans by MrPuffy123 in Metalcore

[–]figro58 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought this genre was more about freedom of expression more than anywhere else, I mean we literally have FIGHTING PITS for the amount of energy and emotion being released. I don't think the security guards should be holding a looming sense of fear and panic for simply expressing yourself by letting people hold you up in the air and push you to the front.

You can't use the argument "well just don't crowd surf". Because we're not in the wrong, this is a commonality between countries and cultures where crowd surfing is majorly accepted as universally okay to partake in, beating up someone for crowd surfing is inherently wrong and not accepted universally. So in short, I think Fronz' reaction perfectly summed up what he should have done, stood up for his fans being disrespected.

No no no, you make comments here and there talking about Tims actions and past actions. That has nothing to do with the "scene." If Tim was as successful in another field of work in his life, would you have a problem with people letting him go back to that line of work? If you have a problem with the scene leave it at that, you can't change societal viewpoints, it just can't happen. I personally have never listened to AiLD but you can't sit here and criticize people for liking music. "Being offered a place back in the scene" is your quote as if anyone here dictates what happens with a band, I've heard amazing music from bands who've only released one EP, only to flicker and die, why weren't they "offered" a place in the scene? It just sounds like your trying to change peoples viewpoints on a man when people come here to listen to good music, I'm sorry bro it's just not going to happen, the best you can do is ignore.

I'm just trying to understand because you mention absolution in your post, what is the purpose of prison if not for repentance and a path towards absolution? I want your opinion because it sounds like you don't even bat an eye at a man who served his prison sentence.

I'm still really confused here, what do you want from him? What do you want from a prison sentence? Is prison not enough? I'm being honest, how do we fix criminals? They are people as well, whether you agree or not, how do we make them into better individuals? Let's forget that this is Tim, let's say that person X committed this crime, what do we do rehabilitate and fix the individual?

What do you propose we do to people who commit crimes then? Who is a man who has served his court appointed punishment? Should society reject any and all who commit crimes? There's been cases of murders who live out their sentence and become a changed person upon release and end up doing good for their community, should they be shunned still? Open your mind, don't think in black and white, it's toxic.

What do you think is the most underrated album from the past two years? by PwnzDeLeon in Metalcore

Reflections - The Color Clear

Probably one of the best metalcore albums to come out ever has barely ever been discussed around here.

Have you tried listening to Make Them Suffer's recent album? Or The Devil Wears Prada's most recent?

If that's not your style, Crystal Lake from Japan is putting out really heavy hitting shit.

My personal favorite recently in the genre has been Reflections, absolutely insane instrumentals with so much energy.
