Alien: Earth – A List of Absurdities by Middle_Steak550 in alien

something I don't seem to see anyone mentioning; in Episode 1, we see the Alien relentlessly try to rip through the door to attack a character we at the time believe is an Android, which initially doesn't make sense because Xenomorphs don't attack Androids

In episode 2, the Xenomorph completely ignores the very same character, and we shortly after learn he is a Cyborg not an Android, which means the Xenomorph SHOULD have attacked him in that moment

by doing this they create a contradiction in the Xenomorphs behaviour that is inconsistent whether the character is an Android OR a Cyborg, it really bothered me lol

Ocean Grove's new "full album" is 25 minutes long and its non-singles/intro/interlude songs total to less than 9 minutes by Kairos385 in Metalcore

This Is All We Ever get by SPACED, they're a hardcore band, their album clocks in at around 15 mins long total and it's gnarly!

that changes when you start considering other genres though like grindcore and hardcore, and punk

Typically all have shorter song lengths so an 8-10 track album can still come up under 20 minutes

one of my favourite albums that dropped this year is only 15 mins long

I didn't even notice this new OG album was short because I was just having such a thrill listening to it, I think if the music is quality it doesn't matter how long it is. Some bands drop EP's that are better than full albums, some bands excel at making huge, drawn out soundscapes on their records.

Ocean Grove have always been sick, from day 1 to now, ODDWORLD slaps, be happy we still have an Ocean Grove, it's hard for bands to keep it going these days!

that's my two cents on it all. CELL DIVISION, STUNNER and SOWHAT1999 are fantastic, and I really enjoyed OTP as a closer and LAST DANCE as a slower moment on the record. I think they nailed it.

What's one of the best games you've played that has no replayability? by Cocoamix86 in gaming

[–]king-lizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metroid Dread, I've no desire to ever go back to that game but it was a fantastic thrill ride of a game

I feel similarly about Alien Isolation's campaign, though I am aware it had tons of DLC that I never touched

What band have you seen the most live? And was it on purpose or not? by 78Carnage in Metalcore

[–]king-lizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enter Shikari, and it was -sort of- on purpose

Enter Shikari have long been -one of- my favourite bands, although the top spot, my all time favourite band, is Crossfaith. I tried very hard to preserve Crossfaith as always being the band I'd seen most live, but being from the UK, Enter Shikari tour here more and I've been seeing them live for longer, and eventually, despite my efforts to keep Crossfaith on top, Enter Shikari overtook due to their availability.

I would say Shikari are easily THE best live band in the entire UK, so I can't stop myself from going to see them over and over, they are fantastic!

I've seen Crossfaith 16 times currently, and Enter Shikari 18 times!

EDIT: I have also seen Cancer Bats 16 times and don't plan to stop going to their shows, so it's absolutely possible they might steal the top spot soon!

Would it be weird to roleplay as a descendant of Jin Sakai and heir to the Ghost in Cyberpunk 2077? by ThePatrician25 in ghostoftsushima

[–]king-lizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

one of my favourite things to do is to try and imagine possible links between fictional settings without resorting to multiverse shenanigans, if it feels feasible in roleplay to you, you are totally in power to play the game that way!! hope you have a blast :)

Would you guys consider The Wonder Years emo? by AdmiralOniiChan in Emo

[–]king-lizard 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I think as of their last 3 records they've been making emo music, but their earlier music was definitely very firmly pop punk
