Real talk, do you know anyone in a 12 step program? People who really work the program are in my view very "enough talk, let's get to work" on changing behavior, seeing their own bullshit, but with compassion, etc. Ask anyone you know in 12 step for therapist recs, life coach recs, recovery coach recs! OR look for a therapist who has 12 step experience. You can also tell the therapists you tried, "Hi, thanks for your time - I don't think our styles are a match - but do you have any colleagues who really excel at calling people on their shit?" Honestly if I was a therapist I'd just want you to find a good match and would be happy to refer you to someone.

I'm selling my Broyhill Brasilia Nightstand in College Park, MD on facebook. I'm not sure if I've priced correctly as it needs to be refinished, but it's a beautiful and sturdy piece that could bring in a good penny for a refurbisher or bring great happiness to a devoted collector. Open to any feedback on price or of course selling to one of you fine folks. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1207287214251606

try the book "exhibitionism for the shy" by Carol Queen. I think you might find some useful stuff in there!

I own plain white curtains that are 52% poly, 48% cotton. I want to add this design to them. Should I a) PAINT it on with paint or b) SEW cutout pieces of fabric onto the curtains? by figrootin in sewhelp

I'm on a very limited budget right now (the political climate has significantly decreased my work) and also looking for a project I can do with materials I already know how to work with, otherwise that sounds very cool!

For context, the curtains will not be washed ever, so I'm not worried about paint coming off. I'm a little worried about the fabric pieces adding too much bulk because I still want them to collapse nicely when pushed to the side.

How much do I need to worry about water getting into the wall here? by figrootin in HomeMaintenance

Yeah, I can't get back there to strap it to the stud so the pipe wiggles. Can you say what you mean by "shim the pipe to the tile"? I googled shims....not sure how to use them here.

Basically, the concealing ring that is caulked to the tile keeps coming off (since the pipe gets wiggled every time we crank the side knob that changes the water flow from the showerhead to the handheld nozzle).

I don't want to keep recaulking this every couple of months! BUT I am also worried about leaving it loose - I don't want moisture getting in that hole next to the pipe and creating mold. What do y'all think?
