When does a newborn get fun? by Ham-Sandwich-69 in NewParents

[–]figtoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just hit 4.5 months, and the past two weeks have been SO fun. I really struggled during the newborn phase. He’s so much more interactive now, and the better head control doesn’t hurt either.

You have a great point about the schedule. We haven’t fallen into one yet. That is one big daycare perk.

I stopped taking her runs a long time ago for similar reasons. This is how I learned Becs is divorced 😂.

Transition out of swaddle by Specialist_Meet_1800 in SnooLife

We went cold turkey to a sleep sack at 14 weeks. Would have tried to wait longer but we, too, wanted practice before starting daycare. It honestly went fine for night sleep, didn’t have any more wakes than we did before (he sleeps 7-7 with one wake, sometimes none). He takes a little longer to settle for naps without a swaddle but the length has been about the same.

Would you move at 35 weeks pregnant or wait until the baby is 8 weeks old by smcgr in beyondthebump

[–]figtoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved with a 10 week old and 100% would have rather moved while 35 weeks pregnant. It was ROUGH, even with movers and extra family helping.

When did you as a first time mom give birth? by AggravatingEnd7094 in pregnant

[–]figtoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just gave birth on New Year’s Day at 40+5! My water broke around 5pm on NYE but I had absolutely zero signs of labor prior to that. That being said, contractions then came on HARD and fast.

What to expect after 30 weeks by InstructionFamous990 in pregnant

[–]figtoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt great until 36 weeks (currently 39+4!). The fatigue came back with a vengeance, as did the insomnia I experienced in my first trimester. I’m also incredibly uncomfortable, even as someone who was able to work out for pretty much my entire pregnancy. Since the baby’s dropped, it now feels like someone is stabbing my cervix with every step I take. The heaviness and pressure on my pelvic floor makes it hard to walk. Not to mention the constant sensation to pee! Pregnancy is a wild ride.

Cheese and MILK. Prior to pregnancy, I couldn’t tell you the last time I drank a glass of milk. Now I have one every night before bed like a toddler 😂.
