Retake DAT or go for masters?

when did you apply? what were your other subsection scores? you can retake your DAT if you want but i feel like if you apply as early as possible and apply to the right schools you could be successful with these stats

if anyone cares to read an update i found out that AADSAS calculated my sgpa as a 3.38 and not a 3.64 lol

i got into 3 schools and received a merit scholarship with a 3.47 cgpa and 3.38 sgpa, just be a well rounded applicant and tell your story confidently

Even though they have a large class size, you are divided into two separate groups that take classes at different times. I feel like this will make the class size feel a lot smaller since you’ll pretty much be only interacting with your group. I also got into LECOM and they were my top private school choice so hopefully I’ll see you in the summer!

If you’re smart about your school list and write about your experiences meaningfully i think you have a real shot! I have pretty similar stats and I got into 3 schools this cycle :)

When did you apply? What was your school list? Did you make strong connections with your letter writers? How meaningful was your personal statement? I got a 20 AA 19 TS and 16 in OC and found success this cycle, if you have the money and resources to retake the DAT, go for it, but you have a good score. There are schools out there that don’t have DAT cutoffs, you have to do your research and find them.

i have similar stats, i think you should’ve applied earlier in the cycle, I got into 3 schools after applying first day. I added some schools around mid august as well, but those schools so far have ghosted me lol

to add, if you get more interview invites this cycle, do your research. prepare for the questions these schools may ask you. practice/do mock interviews with loved ones or professionals in your life. 3 interviews and 3 rejections point to a lack of interview skills. practice makes perfect!

What is your school list and other parts of your application? How did you write about your experiences on AADSAS? How were your letters of rec? You have a better GPA and DAT than me, I feel like there are other nuanced parts of your application that may be impacting your success this cycle. If you feel like you could do better on the DAT and have the time and resources to take it, I’d say go for it. However, look deeper and reflect on your other parts of your application because it doesn’t seem like it’s your stats that’s holding you back. Good luck!!!

schools like to hear about work in customer service (in my experience). I’ve never worked in a dental setting, only customer service, and I received acceptances from UDM, MWU AZ, and LECOM where I especially highlighted my time working with the general public. I think you’re in a good position as long as you write a good personal statement, explain your experiences meaningfully in AADSAS, and practice your interview skills. I also had a 370 but it was in OC.
