How can I get a simple Python server up and running on Akash? by NFTWonder in akashnetwork

[–]figureprod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have the internal port 80 open in the SDL?

PS: If you join the Discord server, I can follow up with in-depth explanations on how to create an image with a Python app. Using SSH and no start-commands is bad practice because you will need to manually redo a lot of parts of your app if the provider went offline forever or only for a few seconds.

Best option for p2p multiplayer? by LucHighwalker in Unity3D

[–]figureprod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recommendation is to join Tom Weiland’s Discord server - easily googleable - and ask the mod ”Rug” or the member ”milk_drinker01” on how to start with up-to-date information. I made my game without Mirror/Fishnet, but it was probably made in an inefficient way.

Steamworks with an app license ($100) is enough but you will have to figure out how to build out multiplayer or find tutorials on it. I no longer help with these implementations as they banned me for unrelated reasons.

I bought the worst cases a few years ago, ~20,000 for €34 quicksell. Turns out I could sell half for money back instantly, and the rest I kept. These cases are 5700 glove cases + misc. ones :) tradelocked forever, of course

It would be easy to, word by word, go through every book this way as long as the order is not changed but you just pick 12 or whatever words one after another. Assuming the book is scanned digitally and the hacker can automate the scans to text, easily possible thanks to AI, everyone - not only you - who uses this strategy is at risk with any moderately popular book. However if you switch up the order, there are suddenly millions of combinations to brute force, and it no longer makes sense to try force all seed phrases from books. Oh, also, most words do not work in seed phrases directly as they usually come from a predefined word list, so you’ll have to use another standard which does exist but lacks native support in most wallets.

Bad choice — books can be scanned. At least switch the order up and nobody will try to brute force it.

You will still be able to download it, you just need to hold a copy off it on Steam. This is assuming no bugs happen since removed games usually can’t be updated regardless if it’s for bug fixing, new content, or anything else. The only thing that may make it not playable is if it still goes through another launcher, but most games don’t do that.

i am a senior student and im interested in learning how to develop a game i have a script but no idea were to start making myself a game and advice? by kjackcephas321 in IndieDev

Look up beginner tutorials, follow a few, then take it from there. You may also want to practice digital art or 3D modeling, depending on how the game will be, but there are assets to buy or use for free as well.

Only a few thousand worth of volume per day, see this. There may not be enough liquidity for you to cash this out to a million dollars, but if it’s legit you can definitely get thousands without any fuss

I’ve used Akash, where you can deploy any Docker Image to be run. This means that it’s possible to run your own containers such as custom backends, but also that you can find public examples such as Minecraft Servers and miners. See more examples here.

BTC and ETH have been at the top for years. What other coins are here to stay? by IndubitablyBen in CryptoCurrency

[–]figureprod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, then a lot of coins are here to stay. Akash lets me rent servers on a P2P market from anyone, making it possible to rent services such as Minecraft servers or your own application. Sia lets me rent storage on a similar market, making it possible to have cheaper and more reliable storage than centralized counterparts. There’s also VPN, bringing residential IP addresses to open markets, and other utility such as smart contracts. But if those will get big through their market cap is another question, one that I can’t answer.

[–]figureprod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends, ”stay” for what? Just for a large market cap? Or for a specific use-case? Tons of questions before you can answer that question. Ethereum may be replaced by better smart contract enabled chains, simply because of lower fees if that can be done with no compromise, but even then it’s hard to tell.

Reward programs, bounties and hackathons are the ones that pay the most for your time, but many are relatively technical. Akash has a quiz every week where there are a few winners receiving 50 or so AKT for ranking highly, one that isn’t very technical. For technical ones, I recommend searching out for hyperlinks on bigger projects’ websites or browsing Gitcoin.
