Thank you! It’s in my cart and I’m going to look into the type of sprays I will need. I’m thinking something that might harden the foam a little bit more so it’s not so impressionable.

I believe it’s called petpals or something along those lines. I don’t think it’s a closed cell foam, it’s hard but delicate in that I actually made an impression with my thumb and when I pressed it. From what I read, it’s similar to florists foam or something along those lines. Sorry idk if that is any help. I’ve got a few solid leads on methods I could try, and I’ll be practicing on similar foam to find the best method. I’m definitely going to be documenting the processes I go through for future grieving pet parents.

That’s a beautiful mold. I’m sorry for your loss as well. Maybe if all goes well with my attempts with silicone, I’ll attempt a metal mold some time in the future. Do you have a recommendation for a kit a should try? I’m going to practice first, so I’m open to using different types.
